Not being able to get drunk hadn't really bothered him before, but at this point Wade was hoping for any thing to tear him away from the looming sense of boredom. It wasn't that he was bored yet - there were far too many shiny things and weird alien members of the actual crew to stare at to be bored immediately - but he could feel it building. It was like a rising storm in the distance, dark and rumbling and oppressing the very air around him.

He was reluctantly sitting in borrowed clothes supplied by the Enterprise crew when he had been 'convinced' his suit needed to be cleaned after two weeks of solid wear. Fortunately they'd included a hoodie, which he could pull up to cover most of his scarred face as he sat secluded in the shadowy corner and watched the others mingle around with a resigned expression on his face.

Wade reached down for the glass of whatever he was drinking without looking and managed to knock it over with a loud crash, followed by a louder exclamation of "Motherfucker!"
