Deck Five Lounge

Welcome to the Deck 5 Lounge

Each Saturday, join the Enterprise crew and your fellow travelers in the Deck Five Lounge to meet new arrivals, catch up with those you haven't seen in a few days, try a new drink, or just enjoy the spectacular view.

OOC Information

These weekly posts are IC third-person threading opportunities. Threads that extend to 10 total good-sized comments can be counted as a log for activity check. If you have any questions, please let me know. The hope is that you will use this opportunity for random character interactions and development.

Thanks to the replicators, Mary was able to make herself a nightly drink, but she found that she enjoyed the gatherings that the crew had in Deck Five. It was a time to speak with people she hadn't seen in a bit. The ship was huge, and she found that she didn't see everyone every day. Fortunately the PADD could communicate with whomever she needed to.

Mary sat at the bar and ordered a new drink, or at least new to her - an appletini. It was sweeter than a regular martini and she found that she liked it. She had to admit that the bartender made better drinks than the replicator.

Tony was supposed to meet her that night, though in the meantime she looked around at the others in the lounge. Mary hoped that she might get to see the captain again. She had enjoyed her time speaking with Kirk last week. He was smarter and more cultured than he came off initially. She sipped her drink and continued to people watch.

Tony showed up a little late, having finally figured out how to replicate himself at least one new suit. It wasn't that formal compared to the black tie affairs Mary was probably used to, but it suited him just fine.

He grabbed himself a dirty martini and then noticed Mary at the bar. Instead of taking his usual seat, he headed over to her and saluted her with his glass. "Princess. You're looking particularly fashionable today. And is that something besides a wine glass in your hand?"

He looked nice. Mary appreciated the effort, since most of the men around here wore jeans. She had never worn jeans in her life. Instead, she was dressed in something she had also made via replicator, a dress reminiscent of her time period. If she kept making a new one every week, soon she would have a closet full of frocks.

Mary smiled at him. She liked that he called her Princess. Really, she thought of herself as a Queen, but Princess would do. It had a nice ring to it, and he was being genuine, not sarcastic. "I always have a mixed drink when I come here," she said. "This one is called an appletini."

She was a Queen, but Tony liked the reference. Princess Leia was royalty, but she shot from the hip and was a hell of a badass. Of course, he knew that Lady Mary had never seen Star Wars, but he liked to refer to it anyway.

He nodded his head in approval of the appletini, "I've had one of those before, they're pretty good. I like mine a little more salty, but sometimes you just need to quaff something sweet and easy on the palate. Have you tried a cosmopolitan yet? I have a feeling you might like those, too."

Tony was careful to keep a respectable distance from Mary. Close enough to talk at a normal speaking level, but not too close to come off like he was 'leaning' into her personal space. He decided to take a seat, back against the bar so that he could see her and everyone else. "It's a hell of a thing, this lounge in full swing like this. I used to love a crowd."

It was hard to believe, that Nat had yet to explore the entire ship. Lately, she had been busy with her thoughts. But tonight, she felt it was time to explore a little more. So far she had come across the training room, and the science lab. Both of which she had ran into familiar faces. But now it seems she would come across a familiar name, with an unfamiliar face. Peter Parker.

From what she remembered, Peter was just some punk fifteen year old, Tony had involved in the fight against Steve and the others back where she was from. So to see a very grown up version of Parker had caught her a bit off guard. She wondered if this is how the others would feel if they learned Natasha was from a different timeline from them. She assumed it would be almost the same feeling. Confusion.

So after much thought, she would tell Parker to meet her at Deck 5 for a drink. Since he was old enough to drink, she saw no harm in it. Plus, she was curious as to how many missions they had done together, since Natasha had no memory of working with Peter. Wondering if that was due to her perhaps being brainwashed or having her memories altered. But than again, it could just be they were from a different timeline from each other.

As she came to sit at the bar she would be handed some blue drink. Only to kink a brow at the liquid and wait for Parker to show up.

Meet at Deck 5 for a drink, Peter's mind was racing at how cool it was to be heading to Deck 5 on the Enterprise for a Romulan Ale, because he'd be DAMNED if he wasn't going to have a Romulan Ale. It had been a dream of his to be in Star Trek since he was a child, and now he was there, and he could go to warp speed and talk to Spock and have Romulan Ale.

Approaching Deck 5, he noticed Natasha near the bar, and grinned spotting her. She looked different, but not too much so. She stood out, like usual, and he began to make his way towards her. Dressed in black t-shirt and a pair of jeans, he'd gone with casual this evening since the one thing he had to say about this ship was it was homely, and it felt comfortable being here.

It was also a bit cold, but he supposed being that deep in space would do that to you.

Marching his way towards the bar, Peter ordered the fantasy drink with glee, before then turning his gaze towards Natalia, holding a hand out towards her, "Pleasure to meet you again and for the first time, Ms. Romanova."

Natasha stood out no matter how casual she dressed, mainly because of her vibrant red hair and ocean green eyes. Once Peter sat beside her and introduced himself to her she would come to kink a brow up at him. He was completely different from what she last seen. But she was already realizing how this place worked.

"So, we worked on a mission together?" She asked with a kinked up brow as she finally took a sip of her blue drink. She thought what the hell, she had lived through a lot, literally a lot. Right now, she almost wished Logan was here to have a drink with her and have someone she knew. Still she came to smirk lightly at him.

Peter always found Natasha to be a fun person to hang out with; well, fun was not really the word he should use. She was strict, thoughtful, had a sense of humor that was so dry that Peter was convinced even Wolverine might not get annoyed. Yet she was fun, and intelligent, and when you finally got to know her (at least for him) she became something of a good friend.

He raised a brow in her direction, "A rather large one. A villain of mine had hijacked a powerful weapons array that would allow him to bake the earth alive, basically increasing global warming 800x faster than it already is. The Avengers were incapacitated, and the world was pretty much at an end. You, Silver, and I worked to convince the world governments to fight against him rather than giving into his demands, and we then became ultra fugitives and had to fight our way in and stop him."

He shrugged, taking a drink of his Romulan Ale and immediately began to cough into his arm. That stuff was not natural. At all.

"But yea, we did. I take it you still don't remember?"

	Harley didn't have to tend bar tonight. She was THRILLED. She had a drink in each hand and the fanciest dress she could find (well, make, since sewing was one of her skills). Peter had been on board for a while now, and he knew who Harley Quinn was, from where she tended bar. They hadn't exchanged very many words but that was because Peter Pettigrew was incredibly intimidated by her. Quite frankly, Harley terrified him. Though he tried to avoid her, at least that night, it didn't work out for him and he turned to narrowly avoid running,into her. "Uh, hullo Harley," Peter stuttered out.

Maze had completely forgotten about the whole weekend gathering thing in the lounge until she walked past it. That meant it was Saturday. It really was hard to tell what day it was anymore since it wasn’t like they could follow sunsets and sunrises.

Well, she had nothing better to do, so she entered the lounge and had started to make her way across to the bar when somebody had ran right smack into her. “Hey, watch it kid,” she said as she looked down at her the boy.

Maze could only hear the kid say sorry so many times before she finally said, “It’s fine.” Hopefully that would make him stop with the five hundred apologies. “Um,” was all she said at first. She wasn’t exactly sure what her answer was. Did she really want to dance with this kid? “How about you show me your moves first…without crashing into anyone else.”

Since arriving, Leia had spent much of her time either with her brother or in her quarters. Without a Resistance to lead, without a Senate, without her own world, she found herself at a loss. It wasn't a familiar feeling for her. She had always had something to do, somewhere to be, and yet here, everything she knew, loved, and cared about was absent.

Leia ordered a whiskey from the bar and moved near a window, where the familiar sight of stars blurring past made her more comfortable.

On a ship filled with interesting people, Lomea had developed an interest in a few of them. The ice queen in particular. Her roommate, Harley. Some others.

But this older woman had the sweet taste of the Force around her, like strings of fate leading off into the far reaches of time and space.

"It almost reminds me of home," Lomea said, appearing at Leia's side with a drink in her hand. "Though I believe their warp is slower than the Hyperspace I'm used to."

The skin and hair at the back of her neck prickled and an awareness that could only be the Force settled on Leia as the woman approached her. She watched her step up beside her out of the corner of her eye, keeping her guard up. "Where's home for you?" she chose to ask, knowing as she did so that she would recognize the world in a way She didn't with anything she had begun researching since arriving on the Enterprise.

She wondered if this woman would know any of these places. "I had an apartment on Dromund Kaas, where the council met. A place on Nar Shadaa, the shining moon above Nal Hutta. A temple on Yavin IV, where Revan fell. But none of them were ever home."

Shaw had decided to sample her way through the ship's collection of whiskies, no matter how long it might take. Not all in one night, of course, but eventually. And trying to get Root to try them, too, because why not?

She was currently sampling something that she wasn't sure she could pronounce, but that she was pretty sure could strip paint from a car. Which was a good strength, in Shaw's mind.

It was a rare day when Lucifer arrived at the Deck 5 Lounge after it opened, but it was known to happen. So when he arrived in the evening his normal seat at the bar was taken forcing him to look elsewhere, when he spotted Shaw.

Walking over to her, he flashed her a grin. "I recognize you," he said. "You're the one with the zombie girlfriend. And you," he added, looking at Root, "Must be the zombie girlfriend."

"Just make a mental note that if we can't pronounce it, it's probably not on your list to have a again," Shaw said before taking another swig. She was lucky that the swig had gone down before the devil himself decided to say hello.

Shaw cleared her throat, glancing from Lucifer to Root. "Maybe not technically zombie since she got here from before her death, but...this place brings out the..." She paused. She was going to not admit to having watched a certain show a few times, as Root might not let her live it down. "Weird part of time travel."

Not being able to get drunk hadn't really bothered him before, but at this point Wade was hoping for any thing to tear him away from the looming sense of boredom. It wasn't that he was bored yet - there were far too many shiny things and weird alien members of the actual crew to stare at to be bored immediately - but he could feel it building. It was like a rising storm in the distance, dark and rumbling and oppressing the very air around him.

He was reluctantly sitting in borrowed clothes supplied by the Enterprise crew when he had been 'convinced' his suit needed to be cleaned after two weeks of solid wear. Fortunately they'd included a hoodie, which he could pull up to cover most of his scarred face as he sat secluded in the shadowy corner and watched the others mingle around with a resigned expression on his face.

Wade reached down for the glass of whatever he was drinking without looking and managed to knock it over with a loud crash, followed by a louder exclamation of "Motherfucker!"
