Welcome to the Deck 5 Lounge

Each Saturday, join the Enterprise crew and your fellow travelers in the Deck Five Lounge to meet new arrivals, catch up with those you haven't seen in a few days, try a new drink, or just enjoy the spectacular view.

They were back on the ship. Yorktown was nothing but a memory to her now. A memory to many she would assume. Her attire tonight would be casual. Fitting pants and a top with boots. This was casual for her. Once Deck 5 was open Natasha would be one of the first few to walk inside. Her slender frame coming to take a seat at the bar. Once her blue drink was presented, she had declined it.

She asked for red wine, or anything close to it. Once it was presented, she was actually pleased to know they had it. Once that glass was presented she would take the first sip. Pleased with the taste. Coming here, had become second nature to her already. She'd meet some interesting people here. But Natasha hated routine. She missed not knowing what was going to happen. She missed SHIELD. The Avengers. She missed her home. Or what was left of home.

She wanted these memories gone, she wanted to not know the future, or at least a version of a future she had lived through. Never had she'd thought she'd wish she could have her mind wiped. Pick a time to remember and live from that moment on, like the others. They were so naive to what she knew. What she had lived through. But this was her burden to carry, as she appointed herself to keep and eye on everyone, to make sure history didn't repeat itself.

But with that much pressure, it was bound to get the better or someone. So many secrets, she was use to keeping. But everyone had a breaking point and hers was reaching. That glass taken hold off as she finished her drink. Only to look to the tender and changing her drink tot hat blue liquid.

"Ура" Is all she would say in Russian to the tender as she came to take that blue drink in a shot glass, as she motioned for another.

Castle enjoyed spending time in the lounge, as he was a naturally social creature. The starbase had been awesome and he too was sad to see it go, but he hoped that it meant they were on to new and better things. Contrary to Natasha, he wasn't bored yet. He was on the Starship Enterprise with his wife and a dozen of his favorite sci-fi characters, so as far as he was concerned, he was living the life.

That night he had some vodka and sat at the bar while Kate went around to talk to some friends she knew. Castle noticed Natasha a few seats down from him. He knew who she was, obviously, though he tried to be cool about stuff like that because he imagined it was completely weird to them to have a total stranger know your life story. He watched as she had a glass of wine and then switched to some kind of electric blue drink. He was intrigued.

"What is that?" he asked, motioning to her glass.

Natasha came to notice the man come move near her. Only to glance at her drink and than looked in his direction. "Not sure, but it's strong." She replied asking for two shots. One for her and one for this one. Once those two shot glaces were brought over she would come to look in his direction as she held the glass up.

"Ypa." Is all she said once more to toast a cheer between them. She had been drinking this since she arrived on this ship. All she knew was that it was strong, as strong as a Russian drink.

	Castle raised the shot glass to toast to her, then downed it. His eyes shot open. Maybe because of the color he expected it to be fruity, but it certainly was not. It was incredibly strong and burned on the way down. "Woo!" he said as he put the glass back on the bar. "Can't have too many of those." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

When he started coughing, Natasha just smirked. Not a lot of people could handle the drink. Which is why Natasha enjoyed it. "It takes getting use too." She stated as she came to order a tall glass version of the drink now. She came to glance at this one once more.

"Natasha." She replied as she held her hand out to greet this one who tried tot drink with her. Natasha could use a drink lately. Too many secrets where never good for a person. Even for a super spy.

	Betty sat down next to Natasha. The bartender nodded, "Betty," she said kindly. Betty looked at Nat and said, "That's a good idea, red wine, please." She didn't know about Nat and Bruce. "Wine is always a nice teaser." She replied lightly as she came to look at the brunette and smiled lightly. Nat hadn't really talked to a lot of women since arriving her. Or in general really.

She looked at the blue drink and shrugged. "No idea. I've been drinking it since I arrived. It's strong." She replied as she brushed her red hair from her face and took asked the tender to bring her a shot. "It's good."

Nat laughed lightly at her reaction. It was her same reaction the first time she had the drink. But now, it was her regular drink. Once her hand came out, Nat would take it. And soon that name came to her ears. She smirked a moment. So.. this is Betty,, Is all she thought.

"Natasha Romanoff." She replied lightly as she took her hand back. She's very pretty.. Good for Bruce

Mary was at the lounge this evening, though after the events of the past week she was feeling subdued. Sleeping with Lucifer had been simultaneously good and bad. It had felt wonderful, to be sure, but now she wondered if it really had been the best idea. Things were slightly uncomfortable between them. It seemed like he didn't wish to speak of it at all and would rather just go on like nothing had happened. Maybe he could. Mary had never had casual sex before.

And then there was the captain - Jim, now, officially. For some reason he was proving wrong everything she had heard about him. Far less than a womanizer, he seemed incredibly polite and gentlemanly towards her. Lucifer's opposite, really. Mary hadn't even seen him be flirtatious with other women, though of course she was not around him all the time to watch. Part of her wished that he would come on more strongly.

Mary cursed under her breath about the fact that her life had suddenly become consumed with troubles with men. She did not like that. She needed to keep herself busy with work.

The advice she had gotten from Peggy and Kate was solid, both of them being women of a more modern world than she was. Still, she was rather quiet that evening in the lounge. She sat at one end of the bar nursing a gin and tonic, her first liquor drink since getting drunk a few weeks back. Mary had no plans on getting wasted that night, but she wanted something a bit stronger than wine. She wasn't necessarily being anti-social though, and would talk to anyone who chose to sit down next to her.

	"Hey stranger, how are you?" Jadzia dropped into the seat next to Mary. She could tell Mary had a lot on her mind, and wanted to lend a sympathetic ear. It was easier to help other people with their problems then worry about her own, at least. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Mary smiled at Jadzia, honestly glad to see her. She liked her roommate, which was fortunate since they had to live together. "I sent you a message a few days ago. Did you see it?"

Perhaps it had gotten lost or not gone through, or perhaps Jadzia had preferred to talk to Mary in person. Or perhaps she didn't want to talk about it at all. Mary couldn't really blame her if she didn't want to discuss Mary's love life.

	"Oh." Jadzia rubbed a hand over her face. "I'm so sorry. I did see it, but then things got a little busy and I never got around to responding." Which was the truth, and Jadzia felt bad about it. 	It was fine. Mary wasn't upset about it, and she was glad that they were getting to talk about it now.
