( If anyone had asked Ernie Macmillan’s opinion on the matter, he would have told them in a particularly forward manner: the last few days of his life had been completely inane. It seemed like time wasn’t moving, it seemed like every day things remained the same. He tried to remember past the first morning when he'd woken at the castle and he couldn’t. He had no recollection of the past. All he could remember is that he had woken up. )
