Who: Dom & Ivy
When: Night
What: Who is afraid of the big bad wolf?
Where: Ivy's home away from the EVC

Dr. Lydia Butler, aged thirty-two. Blond, blue eyes, five and a half feet tall. If nothing else, Kaden's type was predictable. Throw a fair featured beauty his way, and he was going to lose his head a little. So much so that he would either fail to notice that she was a vampire, or fail to recognise that she was out of her damn mind. Mortal women from what she could tell, were desperate. There were more females populating the earth, than ever before, and they were all looking for the man to fill their bed, or buy them a ring, or be the daddy to their little brats. They were chasing after these men, like they were some prize to be had... why did they think this way? Men were little more than apes, with a broad vocabulary. Call her old fashioned, but men were supposed to be the ones doing the chasing. They came to the ladies home, asked to see her, asked to take her out. Put on a display to win her attention. Not the other way around. If one man didn't fit the bill, just wait five minutes, and another one would come sniffing along in no time. If Lydia had any sense at all, she would move on, and leave Kaden to memory. There were bound to be mortal men just waiting to have their chance with her. All she had to do was loosen up, and stop obsessing over an old lover.

That obsession had become Ivy's, but not for the same reason. The scientist for the EVC weren't exactly being helpful in their search for a way to reverse Kaden's amnesia. They had been searching through the documents recovered from the lab, and still weren't able to make heads of tails of it. Ivy was becoming more, and more frustrated by the day, and she knew that Kaden was as well. It wasn't for his sake that she was anxious. It was for the prosperity of all vampires. This was supposed to be their time, to come to light, and make a plea for the top of the food chain. They weren't supposed to be hunched over large, leather bound books, studying old folk tales, trying to find anything might provide an answer. When Ivy wasn't tending to a number of things Barabas assigned to her, she was sorting through those books. Over, and over again, sure that there would have been something that she over looked. Anything... anything to give her any a glimmer of hope, but it was absent. It might reach a point, where she had to give it up, when she had to tell Kaden that he needed to just get used to who he was now, and hope that the same fate wouldn't fall to any other vampire.

Home was quaint, and couldn't have been more different from the EVC. For the most part, it say empty, while she spent most days, and nights in her place of work, tucked away in her chambers below. It was comfortable there, but everyone needed time to escape, and after the sight of the EVC building unbearable for a moment longer, she had gone to her home. For the past two days, she had been relaxing, catching up on her reading, her music. Anything to get her mind off of Kaden, and his damn broken brain. The cello resting between her thighs was one way to accomplish that. A stand rested before her, with nearly black music paper resting in it's cradle. A pencil was held between her lips, as she brought the bow across the strings, trying to find just the perfect note.

who: Vivian. Dominic. Ivy. [Complete]
what: Enquiring minds want to know.
where: Mansion
when: After dark.

Having breakfast on the back patio as the sun set was a pleasant experience. It was too early for the bugs whose droning drove his sensitive ears mad, so even though they didn’t like supernatural blood and left him alone, he tried to always be done with his shower and finished with breakfast before the sun had entirely disappeared below the skyline. Dom sipped his orange juice, pulling a face at the tang, and turned the page of the newspaper he was reading. He lost track of time and didn’t realise it was fully dark until the solar lights on the patio flickered to life.

Glancing up, he could see the upstairs lights which meant the ladies had risen. He folded the paper, left it lying neatly on the table and headed indoors to see what was on the agenda for the day.

Who: Ivy & Kaden
What: Mommy dearest, not so much
Where: The EVC headquarters, Ivy's chambers
When: Night, duh

"Is... something wrong?" Her voice was sweet, almost sing song as she spoke to him. Pleasant even. The younger vampire stood there, with his mouth gaping like a fish, eyes unfocused, but starring in Ivy's general direction, as she rested behind her desk. "Cat got your tongue? Or maybe the realization of actually having to face vampire law has rendered you dumb struck. That one? I thought so." Reaching out, she snatched the piece of paper from him hand, soothing out the creases, and corners, before she let it rest against the marble top. "Tell you what, buttercup, because I'm so generous, I'll let you off with a warning this time. But, if I ever see another grievance about you crossing my desk, I'll come and remove your fangs myself. Do we understand each other? Good, now please, leave this office before I change my mind. Tootles, have a wonderful night!" The door to her office closed with a pop, the sound echoing off the walls, and ceiling. There were definitely perks to be had when your sire was head of European Vampire Council, and had far too much on his plate to handle every little thing that came in. Vampires were becoming so petty lately, reporting each other, all scared that someone was going to do something to make them all look bad. What happened to the days when they helped one another out, and covered those less than subtle tracks? Such a powerful race of beings shouldn't be acting like children.

Still, the EVC had a responsibility to investigate all of these reports, as stupid as most of them were, as minor. The man who had just left her office, he was being accused of seducing another vampires pet, and really, that wasn't any of their business, but it just so happened that the vampire who the pet belonged to, was a very generous contributor to their kind. So, they had to bring the young vamp in, and give him a little slap on the wrist. Where was the fun in that? To ensure that he would never do it again, Ivy had been a bit more inventive with getting her point across. Instead of telling him that the offense was minor, she told him that he was due to go before the council, and then would likely have his fangs removed as punishment. If he could have, the vamp would have pissed himself. The look on his face was well worth doctoring the documents. Documents which she fed into the shredder at that very moment. It might have been a cruel joke, but she was sure he wouldn't be getting into anymore trouble for some time to come... or he would leave for America. Either way, the problem was solved. "Talli, I think I'll go for a stroll, take all my messages." Her finger lifted from the intercom button on her phone, before she stood, and moved towards the door of her office, nabbing her purse as she went.

It was a short walk down the hall, before she was pushing open one of the chamber room doors, without so much as a knock. "How is Mr. Amnesia tonight? Still dreadfully hopeless?" Kaden was the only vampire she had ever turned, and his whole purpose had been to satisfy all of her cougar needs at the time. Of course, nothing ever went the way you planned it, and while he had liked being chased by an older woman, he had never taken to being a vampire. So much so, that he had gone out of his way to try and weasel out of being one all together. Which is why he was now here, under her watchful eye once again. The idiot had managed to get his mind swiped clean, mostly, something which no one could still really explain to her. Whatever they had done to him in that lab had been drastic, but not enough to actually chase away his vampireness. Kaden didn't seem to understand that what he was couldn't be reversed, there was no going back. It was either this life, or death.
