Who: The JL 2.0 + Fletcher Charleston
What: Come to Jesus meeting. Basically. With a side of OH NOES, FUGITIVE IN DA HOUSE.
When: Sunday afternoon, September 19 2010
Where: The JL head quarters in Manhattan, NY
OOC Note: Everyone in the JL is welcome to participate! If you don't tag in, we'll just assume your character was there, but since this is a big plot twist for the JL if you want your character to have a say in what goes on today you might want to consider tagging in. The posting order is generally a free for all! Try to follow whatever order takes shape as people tag in? But it's fine to go out of turn, we don't care. :) And it's fine to start your own sub threads, however you want to do it.
Jen was a bundle of nerves. She really had no idea what to expect out of today's meeting, but she couldn't help feeling like it wasn't going to end well. It's not that she didn't have faith in her friends, she did. But she knew without a doubt that if it had been her on the other side, completely in the dark about all of this, she'd be outraged. Furious. Probably storm out. Not that it took all that much to put Jen in such a state on any normal day... No matter. In her position she'd done the best she could, at least she hoped she had. She was counting on Gemma to shoulder the rest and deal with it accordingly, since this was her mess.
It helped that Josh was on her side about this. They were always a team, had been since the beginning. It was one of the things she loved most about them. And she was definitely even more grateful for it in times like these. She'd asked him to come with her in the wee hours of the night to help in getting Fletcher and Gemma into the HQ without being detected. It had been awkward, but Fletcher had agreed to the blindfolding and had been a surprisingly good sport about it, so they'd gotten him into the building without any trouble. Then came the hardest part. Waiting until the afternoon for the meeting to start. By the time one 'clock rolled around Jen was so antsy she'd taken up pacing around the HQ, completely unaware of how ridiculous she must have looked to the three other people currently in the room.
If this went over badly, Jen didn't know what she'd do. She loved this group, she depended on this group. If people left because of this, she would probably have a very real nervous break down. As soon as people started arriving, she willed herself to settle down, but even as she took a stand in the middle of the room while people found seats around them, she couldn't stop herself from fidgeting a little. Here goes nothing. "Thanks for coming, guys, I know it was pretty last minute but as Gemma and I both said, we have a lot of things we need to discuss today."
