And Lily, looking back to check on the progress of the errant members of their little band, gave Peter a big cheery smile. That smile slipped a little--or at least stuttered in surprise--as her gaze slid past him to the pair a little further away. Her eyebrows twitched up, and then tucked together in a slight frown; she opened her mouth, then closed it again, and then looked back at him, renewing her smile. "All good, Peter?"

	Peter hadn't even noticed that other people had seen the exchange, though he probably should have figured as much. He was just too stuck in his own head. He shook said head and looked at Lily, making a sad attempt at a smile. "Yep. Just peachy. Debrief?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Peter did not seem peachy. Not at all. But Lily certainly wasn't going to press him in the middle of a muddy field and operation prep. With so many things going on, and him looking that wobbly, she wasn't even going to ask questions. (They could wait until she had a spare and private moment with James later.)

So instead Lily just turned her back on their other two friends being... very friendly, and walked alongside Peter toward the rest of the Order crew. She eyed them--with their brooms and their excited faces and their wild ideas--and sighed. "We are friends with some real lunatics, aren't we?"
