Who: Audrey Nathan & Michael Westen
When: Sunday evening
Where: Audrey's apartment
What: It's been an awkward few days since the tree lighting at Rockefeller Center, and it's time they talk about it.
Rating: PG-ish? Maybe?
Michael had been out when Audrey had stopped by his and Sam's apartment that afternoon, but Sam had been more than willing to pass along the message that Audrey wanted to talk to him, and would Michael please find his way to her apartment when he could? Audrey had filled the time with some extra practice, focusing on finger exercises because they tended to require more attention. She kept stopping, though, remembering that kiss and her surprise and the smile that had crossed Michael's face when he'd lifted his head. He'd seemed as surprised as she was, but she hadn't seen regret. No, she figured that the regret had come later, in the hours and days later, and the longer they didn't really talk only made her wonder if she should regret the kiss that maybe shouldn't have happened. But she couldn't, not when she thought so highly of Michael and definitely was more inclined to think of him as so much more than a friend. Eventually, Audrey put away her cello and made dinner, a chili that would only be better the longer it simmered on the stove. She was well into her second glass of wine when the knock at her door came; she opened to see Michael standing on the other side. Audrey smiled and stood back. "Hi. Come on in." |
