The idea to host a small dinner party had been spontaneous. But since her arrival there were few who truly had wanted to get to know her. The money that she had been given was used sparingly. Until she found herself a job it would be impossible to live anywhere near close to the standard that she was used to living. Food could easily be conjured by the use of her magic but she had made a promise to Henry to never use it again. That and she was so used to preparing the food herself that using magic to do it took away from that. Gathering the groceries needed to prepare the lasagne had taken longer than it should have. Her sudden fame in this new world making it harder to remain unnoticed. If there weren't people coming up to her to ask for autographs there were the occasions where little children and even some adults ran in the opposite direction. In either instance it created a commotion and it would take a couple of minutes before she was easily able to slip away. With the necessary items procured, Regina walked back to her apartment quickly. Nearly 2 hours later it was almost 6 o'clock and the dinner was ready. The lasagne was sitting in the oven keeping warm as well as the garlic bread. Regina had prepared a light salad which sat on the table. She'd even gone as far as purchasing a bottle of wine to accompany the meal. For desert she'd made an apple pie. For as much pain as baking with apples caused, her apple pie's were delicious. And she highly doubted Pansy or her friends would have an aversion to eating the desert. When a knock came at the door, Regina brushed down the fabric of the simple dress that she was wearing and walked towards it. The amount of clothing choices she had were few but she'd settled on a casual dress she'd purchased. Opening the door she smiled. |
