Hey. Um. I was thinking. Maybe...maybe [...] do you think engineering would be a good idea? I mean, I guess I could start my own contracting business or like go to school for that. Trades pay pretty well apparently. I dunno. It might be stupid.

Do you think it's likely they'll ever go away? Outside of the Portal, back home, was that something that could happen?

Well, once we traded powers. Or well, someone got my abilities and I didn't have any. Back home, it's not something that'll happen. But I won't remember this if I go home anyway, will I?

I think something normal might help. With things. You know?

I don't think we can definitively say. Every moment has the potential to become a different life or a different path. Perhaps we do remember but the reason no one says is because we've splintered off on another path. But [...] my point was more than if it isn't possible back home, everything with the Portal has proven to be temporary. I'd not worry about losing your abilities in the long haul.

Then I would pursue school. To prove to yourself you could without your powers?

Getting out would help. Staying so confined only hurts in the long term. Even if it is hard.

I think so. It will give me an idea of how things are that aren't what the school might want you to know. It might be beneficial to invest in a used car.
