You mentioned how Shiro promised to take you up into space. Did he ever promise what type of ship

Hey, so I got a question. Might be a weird one.

Do we want to do a moon trip this weekend? Just pack up some provisions and see where adventure takes us?

It was more of a pipe dream so a specific one wasn't mentioned. I know the Black Lion probably would have been the reach for the stars dream.

Green too, but pretty sure Pidge would rip off my other arm if I tried to add piloting her to my list.

You want to go for a ride?

I'm happy for Pidge that she wasn't left out on such a gift but my interest has always been in the Black lion.

Please. If I cry--

If you were more interested in Green, I'd be surprised. Black... him and Shiro will always be intertwined. I wonder

When you do have some free time?

To Green's credit, I don't not have interest. But, well, you understand.

I have less of it than I am used to. I like being able to work as much as I like because I want to, not because we're feeling impended. But I can make time whenever is good for you.

I do.

Constant work does keep the mind from wandering. I've got more than I'm used to. I only have my melee lessons, so any evening is good.

How about tomorrow night? How far up to you want to go? I can make sure we have an extra space suit if you want to take a stroll on the moon.

You're welcome, Alice. I wish he could be here to do this instead.

There's too many options.

Most obvious practical would be some sort of surveillance or just satellite relay.

The ridiculous would be some sort of 'Pidge was here' thing.

It wasn't what I had been thinking, but now it is.

I mean, you weren't gonna get it unless you guessed "whatever Pidge's in the mood for"... I didn't have anything definite.

'There's too many options' fits into that 'whatever Pidge's in the mood for' though.

'There's too many options' basically fits anything. That's the definition of options. That's like guessing we'll have a clear sky. But sure, you're right :P

Not it's not. If you get clear sky and it's cloudy, obviously that's wrong.

Too many options just covers there is a lot of ideas going on in that head of yours. Because really, let's build a moon base for the lions is also something that could easily be on that list.

Speaking of which, the cloaking on Black's good, yeah?

Yeah but if you know you'll have clear skies for the next week, it's cheating.

I'm not sure if we have enough raw materials for a moon base that could hold the lions. We'd... need more.

Oh yeah. I wouldn't leave you hanging. I upgraded Green's too so it can work with just me in there.

Now see that's when it'll be cloudy just to spite you.

You know, Allura mentioned it, but I do wonder if we could get the Castle Ship in the air. It's not how it should look, but the capabilities could still be there....

Thanks, Pidge. I offered to take Alice up in Black tomorrow.

To spite you maybe. Not me.

We could look into the state of it's engines. Like, I'm not sure what effect the outside looks would have on its performance. Not to mention it's a larger beast to cloak. But we can see.

Sounds great. Who wouldn't want to see space? Though I'm glad Black chose you. I did noooot want to give up Green. For starters, this chair fits me.

Not actually my question. And I like my boots, so disagree.

But ok, so I know I'm teaching the melee classes, but the bit I remember from when I was... well, not me, it seems like you've got plenty to teach yourself. I was wondering if you maybe wanted to do something outside of class.

They enslave your feet. But like, I wear shoes when I have to. It's fine. People are really into shoes here.

Okay, that spar was AWESOME. Plus it was great practice for portal nonsense because it was portal nonsense. Those powers were really great. You mean sparring? Or me teaching you things?

The soles protect against hot sand, sharp rocks, and cacti. The rest of the boot also protects against cacti and rocks and also helps stabilize the ankle over rough terrain. For me. If I had feet more like some of the aliens we've encountered, yeah, shoeless would be nice.

It was. Even though it was going back to me afterwards so it was just going back to what I knew, it felt... enclosed? Sparring, but also... you seemed to understand how Wan worked and... I want to know more about that.

Going into the desert much? I know toooooo much about desert shoes. But Texas is way more moderate than where I grew up.

Wan's powers were from a different source, but they were familiar to me. Like with study, I could do that too. It hasn't been a focus, but it would be interesting to explore. You have elements everywhere. At least, if you don't have air, you have other problems.

I actually have a good space for that. I got the Jedi temple when I arrived here. It's bigger on the inside... It looks like a pool house outside.

I grew up in the desert. Arizona. The high desert area. Hot in the summer but actually a chance of snow in the winter.

Yeah, lack of air is a definite problem that I recommend not experiencing. How he did that different source was strange, but I have to admit that it wasn't completely new. It felt familiar deep down. Not that amount of control of everything, but... everyone always called it good instinct and good intuition, but after Wan I'm wondering if what I feel is more than that.

Tatooine. Desert planet. Two suns. Never saw snow before I left it.

Oh been there done that, shared the equipment locker. [...] Hmm, really? How do you feel about meditation? It's useful for getting in touch with yourself, and if you have... something like that, well, I know Jedi techniques. Force bonded with a tree recently I'm curious too!

Two suns would get you nice and hot.

Group been there was stranded in spacesuits counting down the hours. Personal was blown up spaceship with a torn suit.

Not my favorite, but I've learned the usefulness of it. Mostly. But most of the purpose of it was less getting in touch with myself and more focusing on the mission and not having emotions get in the way. So, I'm curious about these Jedi techniques too.

The "mummy" costumes I saw here weren't that far off from smart desert wear.

You sound like you have a lot of bad luck in space.

The Jedi have a long history, and how things were taught over them probably varied. But the way I was taught, emotions aren't to be avoided altogether. But you don't let them rule you either. You have them. They're valid. Preferably don't let them get you killed or go on a murder spree or anything. Some of that comes from simply being aware of what you're feeling. If you don't know you're angry, you're more likely to fly off the handle over something small. It isn't all that easy, but if it were, I'd be a Jedi master instead of a knight.

And if it's okay with you, I can also... connect with you, to some extent. It's something I'm good at, and I do that a lot in meditation with my best friend. Being aware of each other in the Force.

We were fighting in space a lot which means lots of brush ups with bad stuff. Most of the time the bad luck didn't stick at least.

Now that sounds familiar. Not from one group I was part of, but others. The mission was more the be all and end all of the group I was with. Numbers were low, the enemy was vast, and life expectancy was low. Emotions and personal connections were weaknesses that could cause a mission to fail. Which wasn't completely wrong, but leaned more on complete control and less on understanding. Also, knight sounds better than master.

Connect in what kind of way?

That is the downside to space. Thankfully I learned how to breath less... well how to need to breath less. Saved my life.

As much as emotions and personal connections can endanger missions, they can also be the key to success. Plus, I don't think anyone can have complete control over what they're feeling; they can only have complete control over what they do. And being at peace with the fact that you'll be angry and sad and joyous and heartbroken and all of that is necessary to be able to do that. It takes understanding. Which, okay, philosophy discussions are also a thing. Oh yeah? I guess I just came into a system which had names. Didn't really consider them.

Through the Force, together. How tight a connection that is can vary. It can be sensing where the other person is, getting a feeling of their emotions, understanding to the point you can fight as a team without talking. And with my best friend, actually talking to each other inside our heads. But I've only done that with Anakin.
