How are there STILL so many rules?

Tell someone where you're going. Don't take cars without asking. It's not like I stole it. I was bringing it back! I didn't crash it or scratch it or ANYTHING! It's not like they were USING IT. I'm so tired of getting in trouble for rules I DIDN'T KNOW EXISTED!

Now I have to go to school to learn how to drive. Why do you have to go to school for that when someone can just SHOW YOU?! I'm getting sick of rules.

The age is usually whatever time range a state decides 'kids' are responsible enough to handle a car.

Getting a license makes more sense. It's passing tests to prove that you know what you're doing and understand how driving a car works. Like knowing what side of the road to drive on and what traffic lights and signs mean. To make sure you can handle yourself enough to not put yourself or others in danger sort of stuff. Like having people spar before you actually send them off into battle.

How do they know what is a responsible age? What if people over that age aren't responsible? My father is in his twenties and he doesn't know how to drive. Does that mean he's not responsible enough?

Ronan told me what to do while we were driving. I have not been in battle, but I have received no training and I have found that people fight a lot even without training because they are put in situations.

Usually guess work. Or what the people decide or the way of life calls for. It seems like places where there isn't as much easy public transportation can have lower ages for when you can get your license. Usually if people over the age aren't responsible, they'll end up doing something that'll cause them to lose their license, but it isn't always that fair. And I wouldn't say that means your father isn't responsible. It just means he hasn't learned what he needs to in order to get his license. He could probably learn if he wanted to, but not everyone feels the need to.

Same with my world really. If a fight comes up, you do what you need to. Practice does help to make sure you get out of the fight ok though.

	It seems very strange. If I were in Fillory, I would be expected to work. And I do. At the animal bar. Though they do not allow people my age to work in the bars here. I suppose he can use magic. My father usually runs or feeds an illusion of his father to the cannibals. At least that is what I have seen. (Reply to this) (Parent)
