Working shifts at the fort has been quieter than I expected. I end up spending most of my time cleaning up and trying to make the place look even remotely hospitable. Hope that's alright with the rest of you who work the ward there. Medicine in this time is so primitive, I'm not even sure how you all practice.

I'm thinking of seeing about taking on some shifts at the hospital as well, though I'd probably come into contact with actual patients there. That's the one downside to practicing medicine.

Interesting. I wonder if that means anything.

Alright. I'll send them a message. I still don't think we have the technology here yet.

Somebody smarter than me would have to answer that question. At this point, your guess is as good as mine.

Seriously, though. These people have brought their technical know-how with them - they'd be able to make it work.

I hope so. Practicing medicine is so much easier with one. Diagnosis is a breeze.

Do you know how they're built at all? Or what makes it work?

It would be fantastic to have something like that in the hospital. Even if we have to sneak it in.

A little bit, though I'm definitely not an engineer.
