Okay so when I was alive the first time around, I was basically a horrible person. A dumpster fire. A dirt bag. Being dead and faced with punishment and all that, I started to learn how to be a good person, even though I didn't really think I'd ever get to the Good Place.

Now I'm alive again and the only thing I've been doing for the last twelve years is sell crappy medication to sick and old people to try and weasel them out of however much money I could, but I don't want to do that anymore.

So, crowdsourcing here. What kind of job would a good person get?

Maybe a charity then? Something like getting a job at one of the halfway houses or one of the homeless shelters?

I've been told I'm not often a pleasant person. Would they really want me helping out somewhere like that? What work do you even do there?

That's going to make it a little harder then. Maybe you could do stocking or something at a food bank?

That might be doable!

So there's the Tumbleweed Food Bank at [Insert number here] and the Food Bank of Tumbleweed at [Insert number here]. They're both at totally different addresses with different logos and websites. I don't know why they're so similarly called.

I'll call them tomorrow. Thanks, stranger! You're officially at the top of the cool people list.

It's actually Katherine, but no one but my mom calls me that. It's Kitty.

I don't blame you. I probably would've gone with a nickname but I liked how Eleanor made me sound older. When you're 14 and signing an apartment lease, it helps.

Yeah, I got emancipated. Sat my parents down on my birthday and gave them the papers to sign. I had two jobs by them already so I could afford my own place.

That is crazy rough. Did they At fourteen, I was experimenting with roller skating uniforms and making a complete idiot of myself.

Trust me, being in my own place was several times better than living with either of them. I was actually really serious as a teen. And a loner. I went out of my way to avoid making friends.

That sounds really familiar. A lot of the teens we took in at the school were kicked out of their home.

I left voluntarily, and was really serious about it. My dad was a drug addict and my mom was an alcoholic. They divorced when I was eight and a couple years later my dad used half my college fund to frame my mom's boyfriend. I wanted nothing to do with them.
