Wasn't planning on keeping one of these creatures, but this fire dog thing is pretty dang cute, so now I'm thinking about it.

I guess that is the benefit of a pet that can be carried around in a ball, when you're traveling all the time.

That's probably a question we should ask of one of the Pokemon experts.

But my guess is regular exercise is best for them.

Yeah, I think we can manage that as long as there's no emergency. Even on a boat, there's ways to tire animals out.

For dogs, training, puzzle games, fetch if you have even a little bit of space. I dunno about bears.
