God. There's so much. My dad [...] his cancer's in remission. I've only talked to Alice about it. It's magical in nature, so magic being gone is good for him. Right now? I'm on a mission to bring back magic because I can't live without it. Because none of us can. It's going to kill my dad. It's a bit fucked up.

And I had a son. I had a son and grandchildren and a whole family. I had a beard and long hair and Eliot died and I still feel all of that. I feel everything from that life and I didn't even live it in ours.

Your letter sounded like you two had a pretty good life for the most part. Always ups and downs, but that's life for you.

Okay, but if your dad's cancer is magical in nature, then there's something we can do about it. They can summon that demon that took Penny's, but you have to make sure it's quick. You can't hang on until he's seizing to get it taken out.

I would have liked to have seen that. Were you happy... in those memories? You and Eliot?

That's true. But he'd have to agree to it. I don't know if he would. I mean, I guess it's possible. I wish I could know. But yeah. I mean, I'd want to do that pretty fast if he was okay with a demon eating his cancer. At least Penny's not dead-dead, right? I have to tell Alice.

If I was any good at art, I'd show you what he looked like. We could maybe get a Harry Potter person to do a Pensieve thing. I'd kind of want to put that memory back, though. Do you think there's a re-add spell to put it back? Some memories I can't show you, though. I mean, I guess you probably wouldn't be weird about it, but [...] We were happy. We were really happy. The sex was so good. So good

You sounded happier than I'd hear you, despite the nature of that letter. I wish you could find that here. Maybe the rest of us just make you miserable.

We'll figure out a way to bring Penny back. You managed to bring Alice back, and she was gone. We can figure out how to get Penny back. And we can figure out a way to convince your dad to let some demon pull his tumor out and eat it.

You don't lose the memories when you put them in a Pensieve. You just review them in the Pensieve. And you call yourself a geek.

Well, I need to stop looking in the wrong places. You guys don't make me miserable. I've done that pretty good on my own for a long time. The first time I was institutionalized, I was 16. I didn't know you guys then, so.

Yeah. That was complicated. We're going to need magic back for that. Definitely. More than what Julia has. Another magic battery. I hope so because otherwise [...] I don't know.

It's been a while since I looked at Harry Potter books to keep myself updated on my knowledge. Plus, Fillory is my main book series. Only it's kind of awkward a bit now because of the whole terrible author thing. Also I'm apparently living with James Sirius Potter now. I haven't even been a total nerd around him about it. I might have blank stared for like half a minute, though.

Still, I want to show you Rupert at least. And how old Eliot got. His old man hair. The glasses.
