You know, there was a time, where I would just punch things first and ask questions later. I guess that says how much I've grown as a person.

That being said...I'm still not happy about being dragged here. This was not the kind of vacation that I had in mind when I asked Asami if she wanted to go somewhere with just the two of us.

Guess, I should introduce myself here. I'm Korra, and I'm the Avatar. If anyone here actually knows what that means, which guessing from what I've seen so far, no one really does.

Has anyone seen a woman about my age named Asami Sato? Tall, dark black hair, really pretty?

It's usually not a last resort for me. But this time it was, strangely.

It's nice to meet you too, I guess. Yeah. That's what I'm starting to gather.

The first and last time I seriously punched anything, I broke a finger (but saved my life). I'm glad to hear it didn't get violent. Due to some terrifying experiences before I arrived here, some people are nervous about upsetting our hosts.

A plus side is that people do keep coming. Two of my best friends arrived here before I did, but I did come eventually. And another one too. So, not all hope is lost.

You might have been doing it wrong. Even if it did safe your life. You should learn how to properly throw one, just in case you need to defend yourself. You want to be able to defend yourself without damaging yourself. I can teach you how.

Yeah. I just ran into someone from home. Which means I'm not completely alone here, which is nice.

I certainly was doing it wrong. I can try to learn it again, much as I would prefer never to need to defend myself physically again. So thank you.

I am glad to hear that. It was entirely reassuring for me, as well, not to be the first one here. We may be strong enough to do things by ourselves, but whysoever should that mean we have to?

It never helps to know how to defend yourself. I know plenty of pacifists who know how to throw a punch just in case they need it. They'd rather talk it out first, but in life or death matters, you don't just want to stand there.

You sound like someone I know. That's something exactly Tenzin would say to me.

It is a good thing. And still, I feel reluctance to fight. But then not all life or death matters can be addressed with fighting. And those ones have always been more important in my life.

I hope to take that as a compliment.

You're right. Sometimes talking things out is the best option.

It is.

Or dying them out. And the world's a better place for having both types of people in it.

Thank you.
