I've gotten further now. I'm starting on the wings now, which is going to be a lot of work, but at least he's sort of more finished than he was before.

They do. But Mom died when I was 8. It was my fault. Not entirely, I guess. Gaea had a hand in it. It was just that I tried to use fire to protect my mom, but instead it killed her. Aunt Rosa turned everyone in the family against me...an 8 year old. Then I went around a lot of foster homes with families that weren't always [...] good.

She used to fix cars. It's why Dad choose her, I guess. Because she was fond of machines and understood them. I don't know. All I remember is that she always came home smelling like grease. We used to talk to each other for fun in morse code. She taught me how to say I love you. We didn't have a lot, but she always found a way to get me something special for my birthday or at least make my birthday special. I don't know. She was my mom.

I like mechanics. I had a hard time adjusting to this planet when I first arrived but mechanics I understood, even if the vehicles were different. I imagine I'd have liked her. [...] Is morse code a language from another country? [...] That sounds nice.

Goddess of the Earth. Hella crazy. Yeah. I died to defeat her basically. Only then brought back to life and all that.

Machines are easier than people. People have feelings and you have to think about them all the time and I don't always think properly. No. It's [...] like the military kind of people use it. It's a series of taps either long or short. I can teach you. [...] Yeah. She was pretty great. I keep hoping she'll show up here, but I'm also pretty sure it doesn't work like that. If it did, Percy's mom would be here or Annabeth's dad.

Poe says you can come come over on Thursday. We're going to make dinner but it won't be like Thanksgiving. He's going to try to make spice loaf. Does that sound alright?
