A reunion

Lexi bolted upright in bed, her breathing heavy and ragged. Shadows fell thickly in her room echoing the chaotic feelings running through her. The dream she had was so vivid. For a minute She felt as if she were back at home in Germany, the night of the werewolf attack. The scars on her back were burning like the wounds were still fresh. She balled her fists up in her sheets, concentrating on slowing her breathing and bringing her heart rate under control. She didn't know why she was dreaming about that night. She hadn't done that since before her father died. Finally, she was able to bring herself back to the present. She focused on Bartok who was pacing back and forth across her legs while ruffling his feathers. He was as worked up as she was.
Bringing her hands to her face she covered her eyes, pressing her palms against her closed eyelids. Holen Sie es zusammen Lexi she muttered. Es gibt nichts, bis etwa zum aufregen. Das war vor langer Zeit, und Sie noch am Leben sind Even as she tried to reassure herself she knew there was more to it than she was willing to admit. That night had changed her life and set her on the path she was now walking.
She wasn't going to be getting back to sleep anytime soon, so instead of dwelling on the dream she got up. She got dressed in the dark, not wanting to turn on any lights. She never liked turning on lights after a bad dream, they always made the room she was in look foreign and scary. The urge to get up and move washed over her and following her instincts she headed downstairs toward the door. Bartok flew after her landing briefly on her shoulder while she unlocked the door and stepped through it. Then he launched himself in the air and took off flying.
Lexi was immediately worried. Bartok never took off without her. She took off running after him without much thought. She followed him as he flew toward the edge of town. When he landed she slid to a stop under it. Breathing hard she leaned against the tree and called up to her raven, Also was zum Teufel war das denn? Sie wollte einfach nur entschieden, um mich laufen? Oder haben Sie eine andere Aufgabe für das Ziehen von mir in den Wald in der Mitte der Nacht, zwei Tage nach dem Vollmond? As she spoke she looked around for anyone or anything that could be hiding in the darkness.
