She didn't like using her big umbrella. It was too big, really. And while she'd done her best to dye it black from it's original bright and colorful garishness, she still didn't like it. But she'd given Aidan her parasol, and she hadn't been able to retrieve it yet. She had found his house, but people were there, so she hadn't gotten very close. She'd merely eyed it from across the street, then kept walking.
Eventually, she'd found her way to the gathering in central park. She'd climbed a tree, a big one with a full, heavy canopy of leaves. Then she positioned herself so she would be as shielded as possible from the sun, and watched the dome residents bustle around, pretending everything was just fine in their world. She had the urge to shake the ant farm this place was, though knew she didn't have the ability nor would she enjoy the result. But looking at everyone...the idea was certainly in mind. |
