Hearing news of a scuffle outside almost made me rethink the idea of putting up my sword, and then I remembered I hadn't fully introduced myself on this device, though I've met a great deal of you already in person.

I am Aramis, of formerly of the King's Musketeers, presently of Lady Hendrix's childcare. As it was still the 17th century before I arrived here, adjusting to this world has been interesting, to say the least. You have my thanks for the hospitality shown. Porthos and I hope to be productive members of your society, and I happy welcome any advice or conversation that you may have to offer.

Good to meet you, madame Jean. As I told madame Forbes, I have more than some, likely less than others. Children like me and I like them, but I've never been a primary caretaker.

Unless d'Artagnan counts. Which he should.

He can count. I wasn't checking your qualifications, just so we're clear. I helped run a live-in school when I was barely out of my teens, so I wouldn't have much of a leg to stand on.

I take it you grew out the desire to teach the youngsters, or is it just that I haven't seen you because you're at the school end of things? I know I would have memorized your beautiful face, madame.

I still like to help kids, charmer. And adults. I'm in mental health.

Doctors for the mind, I gather?

Yes. Though, I have some experience healing the body too.

Do you? I do, as well. A fair bit more out of my element here, but I've been told I make a rather good nurse. Plenty of experience stitching wounds, minor surgery and retrieving musket balls.

I didn't go to medical school, but I patched up quite a few danger magnet teenagers over the years. If you wanted to learn some modern nursing techniques at some point, I'm sure we could sort it out. This place could always use more medical staff.

A school for medicine? We have barely anything that could be considered a school, so you'll get no judgement from me. But yes, I'll be looking into that, I think. Never know when Porthos is going to get in trouble.
