Vic [Wednesday Morning]
Sophie - as their assigned simulated infant was inevitably called - was both a very practical creature, and an artist of chaos theory. Just when Noah thought he had her schedule down she would change things on him. Even attempting to calculate all the known variables usually left his numbers off by a good 60 minutes. Which was frustrating and challenging all at once.

It was also the reason he was soothing a squalling mass of sophisticated artificial intelligence at four-thirty in the morning in Victor's room. They'd learned fairly early into the project Victor did not respond well to being awoken to cater to Sophie's needs. So Noah had taken to sleeping in the spare bed - as Victor currently did not have a roommate - to spare the hinges on the doors in getting to her as quickly as possible.

Vic jumped, startling Sophie into a fresh bout of louder wailing. "Shit, Noah, let a guy know you're coming instead of sneaking around all ninja...y," he mumbled, grimacing and lifting Sophie to rest against his shoulder so he could pat her back soothingly. And stare directly at Noah's chiseled abs which were, inconveniently enough, right at eye level as Noah stood by his bed. He very pointedly did not let himself look any lower.

He held out the bottle.

He kind of missed the bottle at first, given his attention was...elsewhere. He noticed it after a moment, though, and flushed as he grabbed it with his 'normal' hand while he adjusted Sophie into an appropriate feeding position with the other. "Look at that, Daddy brought you a middle of the fucking night snack, baby girl," Vic murmured, voice never leaving its soothing - if sleepy - cadence while he offered her the bottle. "Now please eat it and go the hell back to sleep so we can too."

"Victor, do not use that language around Sophie."

Vic made a dismissive noise. "She doesn't understand any of it, she just likes being talked to," he pointed out. "Just like a real baby. It's all about the tone of voice, not what you're actually saying."

"Sophie is a highly sophisticated artificially intelligent form. Not only is it likely she is capable of understanding you, she is probably cataloging most used phrases for later perusal."

"Yeah, well, she's probably getting a memory wipe next week anyway," he answered, surprised that he actually felt a little regretful at the thought. The crying had stopped as she sucked dutifully away on her bottle, and Vic's shoulders eased down, tension draining away in the silence.

"Will you sit down?" he asked Noah when he looked up again, because it was just way too damned hard - heh, hard - to avoid looking at the guy's crotch when he was standing right there in front of him in nothing but boxers that didn't do jack to conceal his still lingering morning wood. And really, shouldn't that be gone by now? "Or, I dunno, go back to bed. Or something that's not looming over me." With your dick practically in my face.

"If you are awake enough to see Sophie safely settled to sleep, I will go take a shower." Adjusting to Sophie's schedule was throwing his seriously out of balance.

"At four-thirty in the morning?" Vic asked, disbelieving. Though it was probably closer to five by now. "Seriously, dude? Sleep is your friend."

Vic yawned again just at the thought of getting up that early, just barely managing to turn his head away to keep from yawning at...well, at Noah's belly, or dick, or whatever, since he was still looming.

"That is just disturbing, Noah," he answered when he turned back. "The sun's not even up at four. The birds probably aren't even up at four."

"Yeah, I'll take a pass on the meditation, exercise and run and just stick to shower and breakfast," Vic answered, grimacing...and still trying to keep his gaze above the damned belt because Noah still hadn't moved.

Noah couldn't understand how so many skipped all the important parts. Was it any wonder so many fell ill or were lethargic?

"It is a healthy routine," he informed him. "You are slowing your metabolism and encouraging lethargy and physio-disharmony by denying your body limbering exercises before beginning your day."

Vic flopped back against the headboard, Sophie still cradled against his chest and apparently falling asleep as she finished the last of her bottle. "Noah, the only limbering exercises I'm interested in to start my day involve being naked with another warm body," he answered, looking determinedly up at the ceiling.

"That cannot be very--Oh." He thought about it. "I suppose it could be a healthy alternative to lack of motivation. Given an optimal state of climate and environment, rate of activity, duration, diet, weight and general health of both partners, sexual activity and intercourse could burn several hundred calories. Engage several muscle groups at once, improve balance and core stability...You'd have to be dedicated though."

"It's so worth the dedication," Vic answered, shifting just enough to see Noah's face again and grin at him. "Way more than running or meditation."

"My mind and body do just fine getting up at six-thirty," Vic pointed out. "You do realize you could probably sleep fourteen hours a day, never exercise, and eat nothing but cake and you'd probably be just as fit and strong, right?" he added as he offered the 'empty' bottle back and shifted a now sleeping Sophie to lay against his chest.

"If you say so." Vic patted Sophie's back absently, forgetting for the moment that she wasn't real with the warm weight of her on his chest as he leaned back. "Far as I'm concerned, so does sleeping 'til 6:30. And sex. Sex definitely serves a functional purpose."
