X-School: Classrooms & Offices

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
The classrooms and offices are located in the front portion of the Xavier School's main building. Despite being rebuilt a few times over the years, the school still maintains the air of an older building, with dark wood and sturdy furnishings. Damage and power accidents are relatively common, and not all the repairs are fully patched up yet.

Offices are already listed; your character can respond to describe it. As of now, it's safe to assume that each teacher has their own classroom - though some classrooms are smaller and may be nontraditional depending on what the teacher decides. Comment to "Classrooms" to add your character's room!

X-School: Garage

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
The garage at Xavier's School is a distance away from the main building and houses the many vehicles owned by X-School residents. Due to the needs of the school, it is essentially a housed parking lot with a maintenance area for repairs.

X-School: Boathouse

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
The boathouse, located on Greymalkin Lake, has become a popular student hangout away from the dorms. Most of the time this means it's used for get-togethers and parties (that sometimes involve a lot of underage drinking), and it's a favorite place for semi-discreet hookups away from the dorms and suites.

It is a rather large gray building on the edge of the lake that definitely shows signs of age. A dock leads off into the lake, with several small rowboats moored there. Oars, lifejackets, and other supplies are stored inside the boathouse, but given its other uses it's not strictly used for storage. The main floor has a table and chairs with stacks of old board games and card decks, a comfortable couch and a couple of armchairs. Oftentimes you can find empty bottles strewn around, or packets of condoms stashed in the corners. The small bathroom has a toilet and an industrial sink.

A ladder leads up to the boathouse's loft. The loft floor is covered with a worn oriental rug and a collection of mismatched pillows and cushions that have accumulated over the years. It is also home to an infamous futon that has become famous for being host to numerous sexual encounters.

Comment below to add details: writing on the walls, hookups your characters have had there, items that may be hidden, etc.!

X-School: Faculty & Resident Suites

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
The faculty suites at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters are separate buildings from the main school. Faculty suites are two bedrooms that share a bathroom in between, and up to four people can live in a suite if someone chooses to have a roommate. They are not small apartments; faculty members make use of the school's general kitchens and common areas, though there is a faculty-area lounge with a kitchenette.

Room assignments are here.

Comment to your character's room number below (with your character's name in the header) to describe what their room looks like or any particular things they do that other residents would notice. You can also add additional tidbits about the bathrooms and kitchenette/lounge -- habits your character has, notes they've scribbled on the walls, incidents that have happened that would be in public knowledge and add to the building's general lore.

X-School: Girls' Dormitory

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
The dormitories at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters are separate buildings from the main school. Student dormitories have comfortably-sized bedrooms and apart from provided desks and beds, students are free to decorate how they choose. There is one community bathroom on every floor and a laundry room in the basement. The first floor has a rec room/community area. The designs for the boys' and girls' dormitory buildings are identical.

Teams: X-School Training

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
The students at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters are required to train in the use of their powers, as well as in powers-related teamwork. Though not strictly training to be superheroes, rescue, combat, and survival missions are common. In the event that the school is attacked or more reserves are needed, students may be assigned to combat roles. Training teams double as physical education classes, so these teams are larger than X-Men squadrons.

As of January, 2013, students are allowed to switch teams if they feel like they haven't meshed with the team over the course of the 2012 fall semester.

Teams: X-Men

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
The X-Men are a group of superheroes acting out of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters in Salem Center, New York. Though once exclusively a group of mutants, Xavier's has opened up to the superhero community at large. Due to large numbers and shifting rosters, the X-Men tend to operate in small squads rather than as a whole.

These days, members of the X-Men are usually seen as reserve teams, being sent out on occasional special assignments or to assist major events in New York City.
