I have this idea for a group psl that's really been tugging at me. It would involve action, adventure, comedy, foils, the dynamics of friendship, drama...many of the best elements of storywriting. It would have a fantasy setting and four premades (of sorts). Further details would be hammered out by interested individuals. While there is a possibility for romance among the characters, it is not included in the premades and would have to be discussed between individual writers.
The four premades I had in mind are as follows: *I would be playing Character A and he's going to be older than his mid-twenties, maybe 28, and I would prefer if B at least is not too much older or too much younger
Males Character A: Has been friends with B for almost his entire life, friends with C for about a year or so, and is a bit wary of D. What annoys him the most about her is that she's a loner and a good fighter; he likes it better when women are more fragile than he is, and he's so used to women who spout their everyday problems (like C) that he doesn't know how to deal with her. Despite his overly flirtatious nature he usually treats D as he would another male, though he has flirted with her once or twice. B is his best friend, though it's hard to see the attraction as the two are complete opposites. Nevertheless A would give his life for B. He's incredibly protective of C. Has some magic abilities, more so than B but not nearly as much as C.
Character B: Best friend and foil of A: he's quiet, occasionally broody, calm, collected, assertive, etc. He's a bit mysterious, which has attracted many a woman in the past, though he doesn't deal well with women - which is to say, he's awkward around them when confronted with them romantically. He has a darker side, and he sees himself in D, which is what has him on alert around her - he's wary of her, more so than A is. He's very protective of C, though it took her a while to warm him up that much; getting into his "inner circle" is incredibly difficult and tedious. Has some minor magic abilities, more skilled with melee fighting.
Females Character C: Joined up with A and B about a year ago, at her own insistence. When she first met them she just tagged along, figuring they would clear the path of everything dangerous. Eventually A officially invited her, partly because he liked her spirit and gender, and partly to irritate B, who wasn't too thrilled at the prospect of a third (female) wheel. C is somewhat loud, speaks her mind on any subject, but she is also friendly and helpful. She does what she can to survive, but without violating her own moral code, which can be a bit interesting at times. She does know self defense, though she's physically very vulnerable; as long as no one lands a hit on her, she can be a decent fighter. Her biggest strength is her magic-wielding powers, which are more deadly than those of A, B, or D, but they can also leave her drained depending on what she does, how often she uses the magic, the circumstances, etc.
Character D: Recently came out of a very bad situation, and it has left her a little jaded, a little quiet, a little deadly. She's an excellent fighter, enough to rival A and B, but she's also secretive, which has both men a little on edge. The relationship between the men and D is strained at best, sometimes devolving to outright hostility on either side. C, meanwhile, has taken a liking to D for some reason and as such invited D to join their ragtag group. If it weren't for C, D would have hit the road as soon as she met A and B and stayed alone. Has minor magic abilities.
One more thing: I do threading only as I don't have AIM and have no intentions of getting it; not to mention, with a group PSL it could be difficult to have everyone on at the same time for a reasonable amount of time.
This has also been posted on pslads and someone has expressed interest in playing C; we will be needing a B and a D.
