"Catch me, Mother!" Loki yelled and giggled, running around the smooth stone halls of their home, practising throwing his illusions to throw her off the trail. "Can't catch me!" he laughed and ran down the hall, throwing his illusion off and going through a very strange door. As soon as he blinked, Loki couldn't see the hallway anymore.
He couldn't hear mother's laughter or her taunts. He could only hear silence; empty silence of the world, a cold world, turning. He was suddenly scared and found his feet on some shiny wood, and strange implements he'd never seen before. He recognised the copper pots hanging from the ceiling, and a book on a table was vaguely familiar but the whole place was incredibly cold and so very human. "Mother?!" he called, running through the strange place at rapid speed, getting scared and angry and frustrated. What had happened?
