She did not want to be human. It was quite ironic. All her life she had wished to be just like Brian and Toby and now all she wanted was to have her Jotunside back. She wasn't happy, not at all. She felt squishy, weak, breakable. Her skin had always provided an armour to her, one that was now gone. It was like an illness. She was stripped of her powers and left a complete mortal. Even normal movements felt harder, less coordinated. How did humans deal with this?

She pulled Fenrir closer onto her lap, determined to stay in a foul mood for the rest of the day. At least, Jay would come by. Jay and ice cream. Things would get better.

Katherine had no idea if she was hurt badly. The pain was there but it wasn't nearly as bad as it had been after her little run in with the husks. It was more the fragile human body she was afraid for. Talking to Maryanne certainly hadn't helped her worries. Human bones seemed to break all the time. Her brothers had had quite a bit of injuries during their rough childhood years. She felt as if she had acquired an unhealthy condition.

"Jay! In here!" she shouted from the downstairs living room. Dr. Cuddy had advised her not to move and that was exactly what she intended to do. In her own body she would have just shrugged off the pain but with this, who the fuck knew? She didn't feel like pushing her luck. Fenrir who had tried to wiggle his way into freedom for a good ten minutes was finally released now that Kat had gained an appropriate distraction. The wolf pup hurried off to the other side of the couch. He glanced at the ground, seemingly contemplating whether he could make the jump or not. A human probably couldn't, Kat thought, chuckling to herself. The movement of her chest hurt and she winced. Ugh.
