The once light blue shirt had gone dark with blood that was seeping from her shoulder wound. Her whole body did not feel right. Pain seeped through her body. The teleportation had almost knocked the last bit of energy out of her. The pain was close to doing the rest. She had never cursed a teleportation ban so much. She almost dropped to the ground from exhaustion, her own stubbornness and will were the only things that kept her going.

She ripped open the door and almost fell inside. "Hey, could use some help here," she called out and leaned against the wall.

Jason was dividing his time as medical staff between working on the front lines and helping the patients already at the cottage. When the door came open, he wasn't surprised to see Katherine's state. Given the situation, it was more surprising to him when people arrived at the cottage without major injuries. He immediately grabbed the nearby kit of medical supplies. His father and Cuddy kept the place ready for incoming wounded. "Hey." He said, pulling a chair close to her. "Sit down so I can take a look at that shoulder. Do you have any other injuries?"

	Relief was the first thing she felt when she saw someone from the medical team. Help. Help for her. Help for Abigail. She grabbed him by the arm. "My friend is out there. She needs help. She isn't far away," she urged him, ignoring his question. She did not doubt that she would be fine - Abigail on the other hand... she was a mere human. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"Sit." Jason instructed again, looking in her eyes to check her pupils. Patients occasionally didn't realize how badly they were hurt, especially if they were in shock. He didn't want her collapsing on the ground. He used his free hand to grab his phone and make a quick call.

When he finished the phone call, he looked at her again. "Dr. Cuddy's on her way. When she gets here, I'll look for your friend. You need help too."

	"I'm not human," she said stubbornly. "She is and she is still out there." Nonetheless, it was a relief to get help. "A lot of people around here aren't human." Jason picked up a pair of scissors, giving up on trying to get her to sit. "Do you need blood? 'Cause you're losing a lot of it. I need to get a better look." He cut away part of her sleeve and carefully began to place a pressure dressing on the wound. The doctors could clean it up properly once the bleeding was under control. "Does your friend have a name?"

	"Abigail. Abigail Hobbs," she clarified and leaned her body against the wall. She was too much on edge to sit right now. "I don't know what I need." She wanted to shrug but that was hardly possible. She had no idea what her body could or could not do. All she knew was that she was healing quicker than normal people and that she was hardly ever sick. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Jason secured the dressing in place on her shoulder. "I'll put out a message that Abigail Hobbs is missing near here. We'll find her." He glanced over his shoulder when he heard Cuddy walk into the room. "And the doc's here now. So I'll take a quick look for her too." He turned to Cuddy. "She's got a wound in her shoulder."

Cuddy nodded. "I can see that." She waited for Jason to move aside and then walked over to Katherine. "Hi. I'm Dr. Cuddy. Do you have any other injuries?"

He would go. Abigail would be safe. The man might put himself in danger but right now, she didn't care. Her friend's safety was the one thing she was concerned about. She nodded at the doctor. "Breathing hurts, my whole side hurts." Her whole body did not feel right. The tiny cuts and bruises that the exploding monster had left her with did not bother her but the big one had done plenty of damage.

	"A quick look, Jason. It won't do any good if you become a second person we need to find." Cuddy instructed as she heard Jason leave. Cuddy nodded to Katherine and brought over a gurney. 	Kat nodded but her confidence diminished when she pushed herself away from the wall. The increasing loss of blood started to get to her head. She made it over to the gurney but it was more of a stumble than actual steps. She let herself collapse onto the gurney and gritted her teeth at the pain that rushed through her body. 	Those were a lot of questions. Too many for Katherine's exhausted brain to cope with. "Uhm... health... uhm, I heal quickly and I hardly ever get sick. My tissue is a lot denser. 	Cuddy nodded and decided to try the iv of saline until she could determine a blood type. "Okay. Try to stay awake." She instructed Katherine as she took her arm and gently wiped away any blood and dirt to clean it and find a vein. "You're going to feel a slight prick." Cuddy told her as she inserted the needle, hoping the dense tissues wouldn't interfere. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"You will definitely be okay." Cuddy agreed; one always had to show confidence around a patient. She started the iv with saline. "One more prick." She told her, starting another iv drip of morphine and then putting a lead apron on herself so she could take x-rays of Katherine. She found herself again missing the hospital mri machines. "Hmm..." Katherine said in agreement. She knew that. Her father would be there otherwise. As long as he wasn't worried, neither was she.

(Ooc: I am trying to figure out what an x-ray of her would look like but my knowledge about x-rays is limited. I work with MRI at times so I know that you will have a lot of problems getting decent images of her from that because it works with different magnetic properties of the different kind of tissues and as hers differs from humans you won't really know which sequence to use to get the images you want. Do you know anything about x-rays?)

Cuddy watched her patient carefully, wondering if her calm demeanour was a cause for concern. There was no giving up for her patients. "Focus on staying awake and not moving." She ordered and began setting up the portable x-ray machine. She missed having a full staff too.

(ooc: The densest areas like bone show up as white, air is black. Muscles and everything else are shades of grey on a x-ray, depending on how much radiation they absorb. Maybe everything on the x-ray is lighter than it normally would be?)
