Who: Steve and Micha
Where: The beach
What: A lovely evening
When: Backdated to Wednesday night
Rating: High
Open: No
Status: Ongoing
He'd been planning the night for about two weeks. He had a table set up, just big enough for the two of them. Candles in silver holders on the table as well as a crystal vase with two red roses. The table was set with a dinner that he'd have to give Isabel credit for, if asked, but he wanted the evening to be absolutely perfect. Or at least as perfect as he could make it. He even decided to wear his tuxedo, asking Micha to dress nicely for the evening.

There was a part of him that wished he'd done this while he still had a tail. While they were away on their little vacation. But he had to work up the nerve and the tail was gone before he did. So now he sat on the beach, waiting for Micha.

"You're stuck with me." He chuckled, squeezing her hand gently. "And....you know....about that." He reached his other hand into his jacket, pulling a small, black velvet box out of the pocket and setting it on the table before sliding it over to her. He opened the box to reveal the ring inside.

"Oh my." Micha's eyes grew large as she stared at the ring. She understood earth customs quite well by now, having spent far more time on the island than back in her own universe even accounting for the decades between leaving and coming back. There wasn't the slightest doubt in her mind what the ring represented.

Part of her wanted to refuse this blatant sign of attachment, while the rest of her wanted to whoop for joy. "Is this what you'd been thinking about the last few days? It's beautiful!"

He nodded. "Yeah, I um...well. I've been thinking about it for a while, actually." He took the ring out of the box and then stood up, moving a little closer to her before getting down on one knee. "Micha, will you marry me?"

It went against how she'd been raised, and the Jedi Code as it had existed in her time, but she didn't care. "Yes," she told him, feeling her eyes well up and her vision started to blur. "I will."

Steve let out the breath he hadn't realized he was holding and then took her hand, sliding the ring on her finger. He kissed her softly on the lips. "I love you."

"I love you too." She replied, staring at the ring on her finger. It was something she was going to have to meditate over. She'd lived with the man for twenty five years and born him a daughter, but unconditional attachment could lead to the dark side if one wasn't careful.

But that was for later. For now she just focused on being happy and on Steve. "Thank you."

Steve smiled and got to his feet again, not bothering to brush the sand from his slacks before taking his seat again. "I was terrified you'd say no."

"I never considered it." She smiled up at him. "I'm very happy you asked.""

Steve smiled a little brighter. "Now we just have to decide who we tell first." He laughed. "But we should probably eat first."
