Who? Gatsby & OPEN TO ALL
Where? Gatsby's house.
When? 8pm onwards
What? PARTY
Open? Yes!
Rating? Could get high.
Parties were what Gatsby did best, but it hadn't been until he'd arrived on the island that he'd really enjoyed hosting them. It seemed silly now, to think that's he'd put in so much effort, so much money and time, into holding huge parties that were instantly awful if that one person didn't show up. And a million times more stressful when she actually did.
But on the island it was great fun. He had every type of alcohol imaginable. Fridges were packed full of champagne, a bar set up for self-serving cocktails (although he would mix some, he wanted to actually enjoy himself and not remain a bartender), bottles of beer in ice.
1920s jazz music played through the lower rooms of the house, and the doors were thrown open onto the pool at the back of the house, and the front entrance, which faced onto onto the beach, was open to let people come and go as they pleased.
All the party needed now was guests.
[ooc: My imagination of Gatsby's home mixes the exterior shown in the Robert Redford film with the interior of the Baz Luhrman version. You can see the exterior in the links in the main text- here are some images of the interior to spark the imagination.]
