Steve got up from his computer and went straight to the kitchen, getting the coffee started. He ran his fingers through his hair and then decided to change his shirt. He chose one she'd given him for father's day not long after Kytana was born. He smiled and then made sure that the living room was tidy as he waited for her to show up.

He squeezed her hand gently. "I've been working on the farm a lot." He shrugged. "There was a switch a while back. I ended up with House's abilities, or lack there of. Had his bum leg and everything." He made a face, absently rubbing his side with his other hand.

"That must have been a big adjustment for you." She nodded. It had been centuries since he'd been unhealthy in any way she could think of, since his super soldier transformation. Even in her own universe such a transformation would be remarkable, for the technological level of his world at the time it was practically the will of the Force that it had succeeded and not killed him.

"I...ended up getting hurt." He sighed. "There was long enough until I got my abilities back that it left scars." He sipped his coffee.

"Show me?" It was a request, not an order by any means. Theirs was a partnership of equals and she couldn't imagine a situation outside of combat where such a thing would be necessary. If he refused then she would just have to live with it, for now.

She wished she'd been here then, maybe she could have done something to help so he wouldn't have gotten injured.

Steve set his mug down and pulled his shirt off, laying it in his lap. He shifted so that he could show her the scars on his side, three scars that looked about like claw marks. "They healed very quickly after I was me again but the scars stayed."

Micha examined the scars with a critical eye, they looked vicious but they didn't seem to cause any discomfort. "How long between the time you were injured and your abilities returned?" It must have been very painful at the time.

"A little over two weeks." He sighed. "I was in the hospital the entire time. It wasn't a pleasant experience." He didn't intend to go into the details of the extent of his injuries.

Nor did he need to. Without the benefit of bacta treatments or Force healing she could easily imagine the severity of his injuries. She moved to pull away and then focused on the shirt he'd taken off. It hadn't registered when she'd first arrived but now the significance of the item of clothing was clear. "You still have this." Her tone was that of pleased surprise. "I thought you'd worn it out years ago."

"A little unicorn magic goes a long way." He chuckled. Rarity had repaired it more than once. "You know how sentimental I can be." He blushed slightly.

"And that is what I've always loved about you." Her smile grew wider. "I think you cried more at her wedding than I did."

He laughed softly. "I cried every time." He smiled. Five daughters and he was in tears giving every one away. "You kept me from falling apart, though." He took her hand and squeezed gently.

"Some Jedi master I'd be if I wasn't able to keep my emotions in check, even if I wanted to bawl like a youngling when my baby got married." Micha squeezed his hand in return and leaned in to kiss him.

Steve kissed back, his hand coming up to her cheek. He smiled softly, stroking her cheek with his thumb. "You almost didn't keep it together during the dance, though." The father/daughter dance was a wedding tradition that Steve never overlooked.

"I'm not sure my training included lessons on 'how to maintain a proper Jedi-like facade at your daughter's wedding.'" Micha quipped back, letting one hand go to his own face while the other snaked around his waist.

"That was the best day of my life so far." She said softly, eyes focused inwards as she remembered. "It had a very pleasant ending too."

Steve chuckled and moved a little closer to her. He was pretty sure his pulse sped up just a bit as her arm went around him. She seemed to have that effect on him.

"That was a very great night." He sighed happily. "I brought you breakfast in bed if I recall correctly."

"You did at that." She agreed, resting her head on his shoulder for a moment. That day had been an exhausting 24 hour span of time. "If the wedding and reception didn't wear me out, you certainly did afterwards! Bringing me breakfast in bed was a lovely discovery to wake up to." There were benefits to having a man that didn't need as much sleep as you did.

"The wedding was pretty exhausting." He laughed. "You seemed to get your second wind, though. And after that night, breakfast in bed was the least I could do." He smirked. Just remembering it was having a bit of an effect on him, though not too much. "She called me while I was making breakfast. I asked her why she wasn't in bed with her husband and apparently she'd woken up at a ridiculous hour and couldn't get back to sleep. He, on the other hand, was out like a light so she decided to call." He shrugged.

"That does sound like both of them." She agreed. His change in mood hadn't gone unnoticed and she couldn't deny she felt similarly.

"He'll make a good husband and good son in law."

"He will." Steve nodded. He shifted just a little on the couch.

"I'm reminded that after breakfast was pretty great as well." He leaned in and kissed her neck.

"Hmmm...it was at that." Micha agreed with a laugh, her voice turning a bit throaty. She arched her neck up and let both her arms wind around his neck.

"How's your bed here? Maybe we should test it."

"The bed isn't bad." He kissed her neck again. "Not as good as the one we had." He slipped his arms around her and managed to get to his feet, holding her in his arms. "We really should test it out." He smiled.
