His footsteps echoed along the empty hallway of the hospital. It never ceased to surprise him that despite the growing number of people on the island, so few of them required the help of the hospital. Very few rooms contained patients. But it was a reality that he was still to accustom to. Many of the population had healing abilities and would heal others as well as themselves. Yet with all this power, there was still very little evil on the island. Or from what he could see. Even Loki stayed in the shadows. Hannibal did wish the god would come out and play. Now that they were both gods, maybe they could connect on a higher level. Hannibal made sure to revisit that thought.

He arrived outside Bedelia's office and knocked twice before waiting patiently.

She unfolded her arms and let them dangle from either side of the chair haphazardly. Bedelia knew she had ruffled Hannibal's feathers perfectly and needed to go forward. She could only push him further, "Hey, you asked me for this meeting. I just went along with it. You brought up Abigail, you brought up me. The only person you haven't talked about is you. That's avoidance."

	"You take an interest in Abigail. Any psychiatrist would know that one should encourage patients to talk about themselves. We share interests." 	Bedelia watched Hannibal and chewed on her pen, knowing he'd notice. "Who do you consider yourself friends with on this island, then?" She said. There was a name or two on her lips she wanted him to mention first. Perhaps he'd break with the right persuasion. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Hannibal glanced over his shoulder and could see Bedelia lift the pen to her mouth. "No one as of yet." There was a sexual urge inside him, wanting to discipline Bedelia until she cried for him to stop. He wanted to take the comfort from her as much as she liked to from him. 	Bedelia actually laughed then and stood up, her bare feet padding on the cold floor. "No-one, Hannibal? You don't consider Dr Cuddy your friend? Or Sookie Stackhouse? Or Abigail?" 	Hannibal found her laugh insulting and entirely unprofessional. His hands almost turned to fists in his pockets. He could feel her presence but somewhat refused to turn to face her. "Clearly you have me very wrong." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Bedelia liked her lip, seeing his fists clench in his pockets. "Then enlighten me, Hannibal. You had an incredibly intimate relationship which ended very suddenly not too long ago and yet the woman you were with jumped into a very passionate, seemingly loving relationship almost straight away. With a man who is your doppelganger but is also your counter. Did you make a mistake? Or did she?"

	"Humans have the ability to evolve and become. Those who evolve, go on." He reached forward and wrapped his fingers around her wrist, moving the pen away from her mouth. 	She glanced at the hand on her wrist, knowing he'd feel the uptake of her pulse. "Evolution takes millions of years. And you are still human, Hannibal, no matter what." she said more carefully, more measuredly... more her. Bedelia looked up at him. "You can admit to feeling something missing." 	Bedelia swallowed. So they were playing this game again? Very well. "I don't require permission as a pre-requisite for appreciating life. Your enjoyment of life is your own and how you seek it is your business. Obviously it was between her thighs..." Bedelia stared into his eyes; her crassness obviously purposeful. 	Her eyes lit up. Bedelia stepped in closer, going up on tiptoe as a giddy little thrill went down her spine. She knew once she crossed a border, there was no going back.
