It would be difficult for anyone to tell now, but Cuddy had a leg injury when she arrived on the 'Neverland' island, similar to House's missing muscle. It was due to having spent time on another mysterious island. Hers had been cured and ever since, she had a hope in something she thought she had given up on, a cure for House's pain as well. Now, with any new cure the island gave them access to, Cuddy wondered if it might be able to help House.
This particular night, Cuddy was looking for a drug called "V". She had heard that it was highly addictive, caused extreme highs, and also that it had the ability to heal almost anything. She was reluctant to tell House, worried that it would give him another addiction and yet, she did not want to give up on a possible treatment either. The compromise was to find some of the drug on her own and not tell him about it until after the door closed, leaving his access to the drug entirely in her control. It was manipulative, arguably made her a bad friend and it was also the best plan she could come up with. And so she found herself giving money to a drug dealer, unable to look for more official channels given that the door was closing soon.
"Is this it?" The dealer, a man who went by the name 'Spider' asked, counting the cash she had handed over.
"It's the amount we agreed on." Cuddy retorted. "And I was about to ask you the same thing. This is..it's blood."
Spider smirked. "You must be some dumb bitch. V is blood. Vampire blood."
Cuddy frowned in confusion. There were vampires on Neverland; she'd never heard of healing blood. Surely it would have at least been mentioned when the nightmares were happening or when AJ was hurt. "No, no. That can't be right."
"This ain't right." Spider snapped, looking at the money. "This ain't enough."
"It's the amount we agreed on." Cuddy repeated, annoyance creeping into her tone. She had spent time selling goods at a pawn shop, then counting and re-counting the cash to make sure she had enough. She didn't like Spider obviously trying to get more.
"Not enough." Spider repeated himself as well, moving closer and towering over her. He placed his hand on her purse with an angry look in his eye.
"Just take it." Cuddy said, keeping the fear she felt in that moment out of her voice. She allowed him to take the purse and didn't protest even when he ripped the necklace from her neck. She did pull her hand away when he reached for her tracking bracelet, the one thing she felt she needed. "No."
"Don't say no to me!" Spider screamed, grabbing her arm and twisting it with enough force to break it. "Fucking bitch." He muttered, taking the bracelet and then taking the vampire blood back, as she screamed in pain. He shoved her down with enough force to knock her out as she hit the ground. It didn't stop him from continuing to beat her.

Jason smiled as she drove, enjoying the vacation with Elizabeth, even though they were on their way back to the island. "We should make this a tradition." He said, glancing over to her briefly before returning his eyes to the road. "Have a getaway with as many of the doors as we can. We could even..." His voice trailed off as saw he the vicious beating. He couldn't recognize Cuddy from the street; he simply had to help in those situations. "I'll get him, you help her." He told Elizabeth. He might catch hell for giving her orders later, but at the moment all his entire focus was on the woman in trouble. He pulled the car over, and rushed out, tackling the man to get him off the victim. He continued to fight with the man, and at the same time, tried to force him away from Lizzie and the victim.
