Out of the two of them, Ben was the first to awake. He was scared, feeling the metal ground, the young boy gasp. Was this another one of the Clown's tricks?! He did his best not to hyperventilate. That was Richie or Eddie's job, right? Though he was more shy than the others, fatter than the others... What was he to their group, the Losers Club. They didn't defeat it the way it should have defeated. Ben looked over to the man who was sleeping near him, he wished he had the same kind of 'cool' exterior, the man slept as if he didn't have the care in the world. Had he never seen this thing that haunted them? As he felt the ground, next to him was a small device, his head tilted to the side, he had never seen anything like this before. But something told him to put it in his pocket for now.
Ben wished he has with his friends right now. But he wasn't. He had just awaken from a vivid nightmare of Henry Bowers. Though, instead of seeing his tormentor, he saw a man sitting upright in the same unfamiliar room he was in. Tilting his head, he watched over the man.. No, this wasn't that Clown nor was it Henry's doing... Right? This man, even in his seated position, seemed tall, muscular, and handsome. He had a hat and outfit on that reminded him of the old Bonanza episodes his mother used to watch. Once Ben tossed the sleepies away from his eyes, he crawled slowly along the metallic floor only to put his hand on the man's shoulder. "Mister?"
The man's eyes popped opened once he felt the child's hand on his shoulder, though he was 'awake' a good amount of time beforehand. That did not stop him from lightly grabbing at Ben's wrist when the boy touched his shoulder. His grip was no where near enough to cause any damage to the boy, but it was firm enough to teach him a lesson. "[Please.] ...." Erandur cleared his throat as he realized it was just that; a young boy. "I apologize... Please. Don't grab on to me, okay, kiddo?" The once sleeping man, shifted his blue eyes upon the boy who had just tried to wake him. But, it only lasted a moment before his eyes moved around the room. Wait. He wasn't in a room with a child before, nor was he in a room made of metal. "Where are we, kid?"
Ben winced very lightly as he moved his hand away from the man, it didn't hurt, but it didn't feel good either. "I-I don't know, Mister. I just woke here a few minutes ago." Ben looked around the room they were in, while well lit, it seemed like something out of a movie or something.
"Alright." While he remained calm, Erandur could tell the kid was speaking the truth, putting his hands on the ground to help prop himself up, he felt something under his hand. The same kind of small device Ben had found. Grabbing on to his, he turned it over then back. "What in tarnation is this thing?" At the moment, it didn't matter, he did the same thing and put it in his pocket for now. As he stood up, he looked down at the kid a soft smile on his face. "Well, how about we team up and find out what this place is?" Erandur offered his hand to the boy. "My name is.." He paused for a moment, should he use his real name or his alias? "Erandur Brevedant, what's yours?"
Ben was right, the man was rather tall, when he offered him his hand, Ben took it and was surprised with how easily he was helped up. Erandur, that was a strange name, not that he was judging or anything. "Uh... Ben Hanscom, sir." Ben patted his white shirt and pajama pants off as he got to his feet.
"It's nice to meet ya, Ben. You don't have to call me sir. Erandur works just fine." His smile widened just a little bit, he could tell Ben was at least a little scared. So he was trying to be a bit more comforting than he would usually be. "So, how about it, Ben? Wanna go and find out what this place is?"
Ben nodded, even though he knew it wasn't a good idea to talk to strangers, but they weren't strangers any more, were they? "Yes, s.. I mean, Erandur. Let's do that." Ben gave Erandur a small smile as they both headed to the door of the room they were in, and out in to the station. The both of their eyes widened a little bit as they exited, seeing as the corridor itself was much larger than they had thought it was be. "Wow..."
"You can say that again, kid." Erandur had seen a lot in his long life, but nothing like this. "C'mon now, let's see if there is anyone else around here who could tell us more." And with that, he began their way down a hallway in Wheel 1.
