It was pretty safe to say that Colt wasn't in Miami. He'd been to Florida a few times before, mostly as a part of his mother's convention chasing, but he'd been often enough to be sure he had a sense for when he was in Florida. He wasn't in Florida, but that didn't go very far when it came to telling him where he was. Something was off but he couldn't put his finger on exactly what it was. He didn't really sense any danger, there was nothing malicious about the place, nothing suggested that he was being 'forcibly retired'. But there was a wrongness to it all that he couldn't accurately put into words. At first, he thought it might be because he was alone. Walking through a hallway he didn't see anyone else but reaching out to scan the area around him he did pick up a few minds that were presumably attached to people. His first instinct was to head toward them, even if his training might have cautioned him against it. He could be tactical later when he didn't feel so out of place. Maybe there had been something in his drink? But he hadn't gotten anything to drink, or so he thought.
Colt finally found his way through the long hallways and out to a much more open area. There were people out in this open area. He did at least take a second to check his surroundings, though he didn't expect to find much. He didn't feel anyone hiding or paying particular attention to him. He didn't see anything that stuck out to him, or at least that didn't strike him as any stranger than the place already was. It was a relief, maybe? He wasn't sure. He needed information before he could decide and he found the best way to get information was to ask questions, so he finally let himself approach the person closest to him.
The fact that said person was a pretty girl made him screw on one of his more charming smiles, maybe playing up his Ozark accent just a little. "'Scuse me, ma'am," he said, moving to put himself in her path to make sure she couldn't ignore him. "Sorry to bother you, but I think I got all turned around back there, you wouldn't mind tellin' me where we are?"
