Rhysand lounged within their large bed, head back and eyes closed while listening to some classical styling of music. He dressed as he always did in sleek materials dark and inky as the universe beyond the ship speckled with silvery stars, comfortable in his ways. One knee raised, foot flat on the mattress, the other ankle rest up over the knee while his hands folded over his toned stomach. He hummed to the tune, though he didn't know it, simply enjoying some of the peace that came with being an 'islander.' Rhysand missed his friends, his people and city, he missed having things to do and sometimes even a war to fight...but he would trade it all for the time he spent here with Katherine. It made him happy.
What gave him concern was showing her truly, for the first time, his past. They had not talked about it; she asked long ago when they first met and he had deflected the questions. It was now well past that point when he should have told her, shown her, the life he had led. Rhysand was certain Katherine had now come to understand what he did, his deception among an entire nation of fae, to keep one small city he loved safe and secret. Yet he worried what she might think of him when she saw the slavery, mind shattering, and deplorable facade he had carried on for decades to do so. Still, after their conversation earlier that evening he was not about to back down from his promise nor would he pull punches.
She deserved to know.
So when his ear perked at the sound of another he turned his head and called out. "Darling? I'm in the bedroom."
