She watched quietly. The place was a nightmare. The unloved grew more and more unloved. Her compassion was with the kids. Kids who never had a chance, who never had a choice and who simply started to learn to survive in a hostile world. Tears started to roll down her cheeks as she watched the scenes unfold. She wanted to hug the little girl who was so unloved by the world and all those other children who screamed and fought because that was all they knew.
Later, when she saw the girl's new home, it was not relief she felt. It was contempt. She had seen pictures of this place before but while she had admired its beauty before she hated it now because it was denied to so many. "You hate your people so much," she whispered.
