An hour before the meeting had been called Rhysand arrived and meandered around to wait patiently for any who would come. He hoped it was in droves, the entire island. He did not know these people well or how they stood up as a whole, whether they would fight against the way the Man used them and played with them or if they would bow down because, for whatever their personal and valid reason, they liked it here and overlooked those things. A part of Rhysand was not sure this was the right thing to do, that seeking this man's slaughter was too much; he feared it because what happened when everything cracked? Did they all go home, back to where ever they came from never to see each other and their loved ones again? Loved ones they only met here on this island from other times, planes of existence, and worlds. Or were they still stuck here in a worse state than they were now?

He had no answers.

He also had no Mate. She was gone. He had spent the day since their last brief communication down the bond looking for her. It raged in his veins to be by her side, to find her, but the connection between their souls went everywhere and nowhere. When Rhysand should have rested before the meeting he kept looking for her and barely managed to eat today. He could eat later. He'd be fine. He'd survived worse...

As islanders heeding the call, or in the least interested in what he had to say, arrived he smiled at them and greet them. Some he spoke with personally, introduced himself to, others he simply nodded at. And then, when the clock tower range in the distance that it was the meeting hour he began. Rhysand was always punctual and these people had places to be, beds to lie in, or choices to make. It could be a long night for some of them.

"Good evening," said the High Lord as he stood on the bank of the river's bend, looking at everyone standing, sitting, or even swimming. For those that had no met Rhysand he was a tall man, taller than average for any human onlooker for fae were not human. He was beautifully handsome with violet eyes, dark hair and tanned skin. He wore a black tunic suitable for the summer evening accented with silver threads that danced like the stars and a pair of inky black slacks to go with it. Rhysand had forced his air to be welcoming rather than imposing despite his anger. If these people were to work with him they needed to see his best side, not his worst. He wasn't Under the Mountain or in the Night Court.

He was talking to the people of Velaris.

"Thank you all for joining me tonight. I'm glad to see so many faces. I realize my calling card was a bit cryptic and I'm thankful for your interest and consideration to be here." The fae shifted on his feet before motioning toward the city and island.

"I'll just start into it. No sense dancing around the subject at this point...As several of you know, and likely more of you have heard, there is unrest among us. Katherine and I, along with some others without whom we would not have even gotten this far, have prepared an attack on the island. I asked you here, tonight, for your help in that attack. Whatever your help may be, whatever form it takes, I am appreciative of it. Whether you stand up and fight against the monsters that will no doubt come for us--or you guide those who cannot do so to safety; I am appreciative of it.

"I need you, all of you, as many of you as will offer. A plan has already been set in to motion and in three nights time it will be deployed. For the safety of everyone, all of you and the children at home sleeping, for those that could not or would not be here tonight, I cannot tell you exactly what the plan is. A select few know of the plan and, if something should happen to me, the next in line of the plan will execute it. There has been talk of secrets and lies. This is that secret. It is to be kept as such to prevent the Man from attacking us. If he should do away with those few of us that know of the secret, the plan will not be exacted, and you all will be left alone. So those few of us have agreed it best to not inform the entire island of the plan.

"You have three days time to move. Move as far away as you can from the Spire as you possibly can; to the outskirts of the island. Any safe house. To the trees. To the princess' castle on the cliffs--it will hold many, I've counted the rooms and beds. Please. Just go. If you will not fight at least take yourself to a place that is as far from the center of this mess as possible.

"We began this because we are weary from the loss incurred here. How much grief will you suffer through before it's too much? How many have we lost from this island because of Him taking them away? People don't die here at the rate that they are taken. Ripped away from you, from your hearts. He drags his fingers through your souls and you cannot continue to allow it. He turns you into someone or something you are not as pleasure! How many of you have been turned into your mother, father, sister, brother, loved one? How many of you have had your timelines twisted? Or have woken up unable to remember your life because you are suddenly younger or older? Don't tell me this is acceptable behavior. Don't tell me you believe that man is a god and you allow this to go on because it is his will!

"Your will is the only will. And I beg of you that that will is to join me and tear him from his throne. I will now answer any and all questions that I can."

And so he wait for the questions to roll in.

OOC
We made it, cuties! The time is now!
If your characters have questions, now is the time to ask them! Make your stand against the Man!
Rhysand will answer any question anyone has to the best of his ability.

A narrative post will be made Friday pulling the trigger on the Spire, unless more time is needed <3 Please let me know. While I don't want you, the player, to feel rushed to respond (remember you can always reply later down the road or backdate a thread) I did not want our characters to feel lackadaisical about this. It's happening and, now that Rhysand has spoken aloud the truth, it needs to happen sooner than later before the Man comes for him, too.

"I don't know," he admitted, then started checking his pockets, patting them down as he hunted for something. "Shit, where's it at..."

"Where's what?" Rachel asked, busy standing on the stump and looking round to see who else was there. She thought she'd seen TK, but wasn't too sure. Then again, she hadn't been sure if Jake was Jake, and he obviously was. She'd ask in a minute.

"My phone," Jake replied, then nodded when Rachel handed hers over. He unlocked it and checked the contacts list. "She's still here, she's on the island," he said, showing Lucy before hitting the dial button. And then he swore loudly when it went straight to voicemail.

Lucy frowned as Jake searched for his phone. He wasn't one to be careless, especially with a communications device. She had to wonder if he had any secret information on it and if the man had it now.

Her frown only deepened as she heard the voicemail. "No! Goddammit, not now!" She hissed. "The mother fucker's hurt her or he has her." There were no other options. She had heard stories during her entire childhood of how her mother was the strong one - the hero that fought back against the man. She wouldn't be out of contact now, not of her own accord. "I have to find her."

"I would check with Rhysand about finding her," Jake said, handing the phone back to Rachel. "If anyone knows the plan for that, it'll be him. Or maybe Thor."

Rachel was down from the stump as soon as Lucy reacted to the voicemail, her hand resting on her friend's arm in wordless support.

Lucy's gaze traveled over to her father and great uncle. "If they had a plan to find her, they would have mentioned it." She shook her head as she spoke, her voice laced with concern and hopelessness instead of anger. It wasn't Jake or Rachel's fault. She couldn't shake the sudden feeling that she'd been brought back in time to watch her mother die even earlier that she had before. Maybe they were brought back to watch everyone die.

"The man will kill her."

"No!" Rachel said, echoed by Jake. "Either your mom's going to free herself, or she'll get rescued, and join us in the fight," she continued. She'd been told the same stories, so she knew this was what Kat would do.

"Or we'll kill the Bastard, and then go get your mom from wherever she is," Jake added, arms folded in front of his chest. He sounded so certain of this that Rachel found herself nodding at what he said.

"Or she won't." Lucy knew the timeline had been changed the second they'd been sent back in time. Or there would have been stories of herself, Gen, Rachel and Jake being there, during the battle. "Nothing's certain."

"Let's get her now." Lucy declared. "To hell with waiting for three days." Her mother had been missing for too long already. The man could be doing anything to her.
