Darcy had been antsy, spending so much time in the house just her Bruce and the baby had been so nice those first few months after she'd had Jacob. Not having to worry about interacting with other people while she was tired and sore and still figuring this baby thing out, but after a while she started to get a little stir crazy. Even the most introverted couples needed out now and then.

She'd pulled together everything she needed, a giant tarp that had been covering some furniture in the back room of one of the bigger stores was serving as their screen. It had to be at least twenty feet tall and twice as wide, plenty big enough for just about anyone in the park to see. The projector was set up and connected to her computer on a table far enough back that most people could in front of it, with an aisle blocked off in the middle of the field to make sure no one would accidentally step in front of the picture. Just behind the projector there was also a big bucket of popcorn she'd made with the supplies in the old theater and plenty of paper bags so people could take whatever they wanted back to their seats with them. She'd also gathered up a bunch of extra blankets and pillows just in case someone forgot or happened to wander up and want to join in.

She had Jacob strapped to her chest just because he was asleep and she couldn't stop fussing with things, checking and double checking that the movies were lined up and ready to go, making sure all the connections to the projector were secure and the cords weren't anywhere someone could trip. She wasn't sure why she wanted this to go right so badly, she was usually far more laid back, but she wanted it to be a good night. For the island as a whole and especially for the kids. So often the only events that pulled most of the island together were violent or scary or life threatening, so she hoped for a few nights people could all come together in one place for a good time instead.

	"People born that time of the year are the best. My birthday is February 13th." Sookie told him with a chuckle. "Overboard is awesome. Kids should feel special." She had her moments when she didn't, especially when she was younger and couldn't always understand the demands on her parents' time with so many children. "He was born on the 11th. Happiest day of my life, so far. I got to imagine what it was like to be there when Mary was born, and I'd like to think the only thing, so far, that I've experienced with him,t hat was different with her, is the little boy parts." Dean couldn't resist tickling that little tummy. Earning him a very happy squealed giggle. "I love my kids." Even the ones that he didn't father. "And I do my best to make sure Mary and Jack will always know it." Because he had to leave things alone with Rory. He wasn't going to punish himself for doing what was right. What made him happy. Instead of going back to Max.

"Mary Ellen definitely knows it." Sookie didn't know her as well as some of the other future kids, but she knew that much. "And listening to that giggle, I'd say little Jack knows it too." Food, diaper changes and play time, that's all babies that young needed to know they were cared for. With all her siblings, she knew it could get complicated as they got older, especially if they were brought back in time at different ages. "I think no matter what happens in my family, even if we're not getting along, we always know we love each other."

	"Yeah you can say that again." He knew it pretty well, things had gone south between him and Sam more times than he could count. And they always came back to it. He mushed up another little bite of pie for Jack and offered it to the little boy. "He certainly loves this pie." He chuckled as it too was gobbled up. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Aww, good boy!" Sookie exclaimed, giving Jack another smile. "And it's got fruit in it so it's healthy too." She joked. Even with her love of science, she didn't actually worry about health too much, having grown up on an island with doctors and magic healers almost always around. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Healthy isn't too important when it comes to pie. As long as he doesn't choke on it." No he wouldn't be able to live with himself if he caused one of his kids harm. "And calories aren't bad this young, he loses a lot, because he's trying to do so much." (Reply to this) (Parent)
