Who: Bohannon and Sookie
Where: Starting at his apartment
What: First date
When: Backdated to Friday
Rating: TBD
Open: Noooo
Status: On going

Bohannon rested his backend against the side of the couch. It was easier to wait for her knock there, than it would have been to take a seat and need to stand with haste. His cane within reach.

He had given himself a good while to get ready. Knowing from experience, even with help, it took time to spit shine. He'd trimmed his beard, not close, but so he didn't look like he could take on a bear. His hair was clean, the ends trimmed so they looked less frazzled. His boots were spit shined, his hat was even clean. He'd got out his sharpest blacks, and crispest white shirt. Even went to the extent of tying a black ribbon tie around his collar.

Bohannon pulled the shined up pocketwatch from it's place, and clicked it open. This wasn't his rodeo, but it sure as hell felt like it.

"Not getting shot at is a good thing." Bohannon was mostly joking, he didn't want to worry her. But it wasn't as if he got hit very often. Not before he put a hole in whoever was doing the shooting. He could tell she was already nervous, there was no need to make it worse.

When she answered, he nobbled over to the kitchen. It was the one part of the apartment, aside from the spare bedrooms, that he hadn't changed. But he was strictly a french press sort of man. Setting his cane to one side he set to preparing the brew. "Ain't we done this before? Seems I can remember sitting at a table with you, from before." Maybe it was just a dream. Though this whole place had seemed like a dream when he'd found himself back in Cheyenne, Mormon's shooting up the place.

"Having been shot at a few times in my life, I can't say I disagree..." she chuckled a little, her nerves starting to abate a little bit. He looked a little wearier than she remembered too, like life had given him a giant kick in the pants. She was starting to rethink her plans on going for a walk in the woods, what with his cane. She didn't want to hurt him or anything.

Sook forgot sometimes that there was such a big gap of time between them both and that he probably didn't remember much of their time together before he disappeared. "Yeah, a few times. You said instant coffee was worse than drinking dirt so I made you iced tea instead.." she replied, smoothing out the skirt of her dress.

"There's only been a few times that I started the shooting first. You?" She didn't strike him as a guns and bullets sort of woman, but maybe he was wrong. She did strike him as someone with a strength that he could find back home. And maybe just as stubborn too.

Bohannon grinned at her when she repeated something he'd said. "Yeah, well, can't say I was wrong. Preroasted stuff is almost as bad. And I'm pretty sure that the instant is drinking dirt that the cattle got to first." Carefully he poured her up a mug, and, without the cane, he hobbled it over to her without spilling a drop, before he went to the fridge, to snag the sugar cubes, and cream. "And I'm pretty sure that flavored shit," He gave her an apologetic glance, before continuing on. "Ain't from a cow at all." He set the cream carafe within her reach, along with the sugar bowl.
