Izzy was beyond happy to be Na'vi on her birthday. The decorations were minimal, because there was nothing prettier than Pandora in her mind. There was plenty of food, both human and Na'vi, in case not everyone was Na'vi through the door. The birthday girl was currently playing basketball, but would be quick to greet any new arrivals to the party. She was especially hoping to see both her mothers, even if Mommy didn't know they were a family. She doubted she'd be allowed to walk away from the compound; the wilderness was dangerous. But maybe, just maybe, after the party Uncle Jake would give her a ride on Banshee so she could see it from the sky. For now, she was content to celebrate where it was safe.

"I'll do my best to show you, but I ain't all that good at music. Maybe JR or Juliet can help?" he suggested as he crouched down, his fingers moving quickly as he braided a small section of her hair. He was surprisingly good at it, keeping it neat and tidy as he reached round and picked a couple of the beads to weave into the braid as he worked. Once that part was finished, he threaded the remaining beads on and then fixed everything with a couple of leather ties so that nothing would fall off.

"There, I'm done. Aunt Neytiri'll probably tidy it up and make it all kinds of pretty for you when she gets at it. But it looks great on you already! What do you think?"

"Yeah, they're good at musical stuff." Izzy agreed, staying still while he worked. "Maybe they can teach me some songs and I could put on a flute concert for the family."

"I love it." Izzy declared, holding the braid and looking at it as best she could. "Did Aunt Neytiri teach you how to braid hair? Do you think she'd teach me? Are there mirrors around here?" She asked one excited question after the other and shook her head playfully to make the braid fly in front of her face. "The beads are so pretty."

Jake just grinned as Izzy asked all her questions. "Aunt Neytiri did teach me, yeah. We're the only two Na'vi back on the Island, so she had to so that I could get my hair looking vaguely okay. But now that we're here, I got my hair done properly again, with new beads and ties and everything. And now you've got some of them," he explained, reaching over to brush most of her hair back from her face so she could see the beads a bit better.

"I'm sure Aunt Neytiri would teach you too, if you ask her. There's all kinds of different braids to learn. And there are mirrors in the Avatar dorm," he said, pointing out the big building that Banshee was currently sunbathing on.

	"I've got them and they're so cool." Izzy touched the beads very gingerly, not wanting to accidentally unravel the braid. "Can I keep them, even when the door closes?" Izzy gave a little nod. "I'll ask her." She looked over at the building. "Banshee looks comfortable." She said with a giggle. "Do you want to go over there so I can look in a mirror?" (Reply to this) (Parent)
