who: Matilda Wormwood and Jack Harkness where: Library, then the cafeteria when: After a little note passing what: Dance lessons! rating: G-PG?
Captain Jack had made sure to dress for the occasion. Something comfortable and simple, easy to move in; the final decision was a pair of loose, comfortable slacks and a neatly tucked dress shirt, the collar left open. He put on a pair of soft-soled shoes but figured he'd take them off when the time came. It always seemed easier learning barefoot, it made it easier to know your footing.
Now he stood in the library, having just returned his book to what seemed to be a stand-in for the regular librarian. Maybe the guy was on break or called in sick. Who knew? It wasn't really his business either way, so he saved it and went into the stacks to see if he couldn't find something interesting, and maybe just a tad bit smutty.
Hopefully, Mattie would make it, but he wouldn't push. At this point it was just good to get out, he'd been a bit of a hermit the past few days, besides meeting Pinky in the common room and everything they'd gotten up to. It meant he was really looking forward to the whole musical experience. He'd even gotten someone to bring in a copy of the script for it so he could get ahead a bit, and if he could teach Mattie some moves, nothing said she couldn't join them. He personally had a love affair with jazz, he could even dress the part out of his own wardrobe for the double-talking lawyer Billy Flynn.
That's what he needed. Something old and pulp novel. Right, that would be a little further down the aisle...
