"Lita's wonderful," she said excitedly, nodding her head. "She's really terrific, it's like... I don't know, it's like having a big sister or something instead of a doctor. She's just so nice and fun to be around. I love talking to her."
She walked down the hallway, the flats making little clicking sounds on the tile; she wasn't used to that, was much more used to the shushed scuffing of her worn-in sneakers.
"So what're you going to do when you're out of here?" she asked him curiously, looking over and up to meet his expression. "I'm trying to decide where I'd like to go to school."
