Despite being what someone has referred to as "a huge dork", I actually didn't get bullied a lot as a kid. Probably cause I mostly kept to myself.

What the hell do I do? I mean, there's no hiding the fact that she's green. And we can all tell her it's beautiful all day long, but kids are just jerks sometimes.

[Tony]

Got anything in that huge brain that might lend a hand here? I have ideas, but...they're complicated. I don't know if using my kid as a guinea pig is the smartest thing going. And damn I miss Thor right now

I get that, but sometimes we gotta go with what we've got. There haven't been too many kids here her age but that doesn't mean more won't show up at some point.

I know. I do. But I also want her to have some choice in her life. Maybe sending her off to school right now isn't the best option.

Well, my offer is still open if you need it.

That means a lot, you know. I'll keep you updated. I still want her to be able to have some choice in the matter. Losing control is one of the hardest things in the world.

Choice is good. That's something I didn't have for a long damn time myself. As for losing control...hell, Bruce, have I even told you about my power and why I keep my skin covered?

I kind of got a vague idea. Maybe not in full but I can't imagine it's a pleasant power to have.

When I touch people, like with skin contact, I hurt 'em. If they're human, they end up in a coma or die, and I get them in my head. If they're a mutant like me, I usually get some memories and borrow their powers...or they could also end up in a coma or dead if it's for too long.

That's a lonely existence, Rogue. I'm so sorry.

That's why I needed to ask the entity for gloves and leggings back at camp. It's my curse or gift depending on how you look at it. John and I work around it when we can, but...yeah, you're right. And right now it's not really something I can control. I hurt the people I touch. So I know a little something about control loss and all that.

I mean yeah, I can definitely see the benefits of a power like that. But at what cost? I'm glad you've found a way to make things work for you, though.
