Despite being what someone has referred to as "a huge dork", I actually didn't get bullied a lot as a kid. Probably cause I mostly kept to myself.

What the hell do I do? I mean, there's no hiding the fact that she's green. And we can all tell her it's beautiful all day long, but kids are just jerks sometimes.

Got anything in that huge brain that might lend a hand here? I have ideas, but...they're complicated. I don't know if using my kid as a guinea pig is the smartest thing going. ~~And damn I miss Thor right now~~

	I would think it would be even harder for a child. Kids are afraid of things they don't understand, and it's harder to reason with them than most adults. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

It is. My power helped me to hide it when I wanted but it took a while for me to get good at doing that, and as I grew older, I hated that I had to do it. I hated the fact that my brother was embarrassed to see me in my natural form. It hurt that he couldn't even look at me if my skin wasn't his idea of normal, rather than blue and scaly. It took him a while to be able to accept me that way.

	I want her to be able to accept herself. I don't ever want her to struggle or think we don't love her exactly the way she is. But I also don't want her to feel scared out in the real world. (Reply to this) (Parent)
