Despite being what someone has referred to as "a huge dork", I actually didn't get bullied a lot as a kid. Probably cause I mostly kept to myself.

What the hell do I do? I mean, there's no hiding the fact that she's green. And we can all tell her it's beautiful all day long, but kids are just jerks sometimes.

Got anything in that huge brain that might lend a hand here? I have ideas, but...they're complicated. I don't know if using my kid as a guinea pig is the smartest thing going. And damn I miss Thor right now

Oh, it could be very light. Like every time they say something mean about someone, they break out in welts spots. Or they physically can't say mean things. But it's far more effective if they say the thing, and face consequences.

Also, it says you're open to inventive learning tools.

Focus on the bullying and the bullies themselves, not the reasons she's their target. Go with her to the park next time, and talk to them.

Speaking as someone who's been a blue kid who was teased and made fun of all the way up to adulthood, it would mean more instead of trying to hide her away or change who or what she is. It's never going to be easy, but it'll teach her confidence and pride.

I could stab them You do not need to assure her that she's beautiful. Just remind her that being different is not a flaw. Differences make us strong.

I don't think she has to be green all the time. She is half him, half her mother. I think she can appear human if that is what she really wants, but I'm not sure how ethical it is to suggest she change herself. You become green when you are angry. What happens when she becomes angry? Sad? Any extreme emotion? Does her skin change at all?

But we also don't know what her mother even is. It isn't like it's a world we're familiar with.

She says she's used to tests. I guess it's time to play around with some. I hate doing it to her. She hasn't really been angry since she's been here. Just really sad right now. And still very green.

When Klara was getting bullied last year, I talked to the teachers and figured out how not-real all that crap is there. That's when I got the home schooling stuff and started teaching her and Molly here. Figured them being happy and comfortable while learning was better than being miserable around little assholes who weren't real. Plus, plenty of other kids around in the apartments so they could get their socializing in.

That's an option. But most of the kids here were closer to Molly and Klara in age. She's just so little and it feels more like baby-sitting if I send her off with the bigger kids. She just wanted to play with other kids, what little kid wouldn't?

Well. Here that might be a dumb question. But most would.

I get that, but sometimes we gotta go with what we've got. There haven't been too many kids here her age but that doesn't mean more won't show up at some point.

Until you decide what to do, I could spell a piece of jewelry that could mask her with a glamour, if it will ease her mind. She can decide how she'd like to look when the spell is set.

That'll work? I think a pendant or something is fairly kid safe, not as likely to lose it as a bracelet or something.

I think a lot of this depends on what you're comfortable with, Bruce. And what she wants.

I know what I'd do. But I also know that's probably not always the answer.

I mean, I'm considering letting a sorceress put minor curses on kids, so I don't know that my way is the best way here.

If Freya can help, though... I don't know. She should be able to be happy with who she is but it isn't always that simple.
