I think it may be in poor taste to walk out on your own promotion party. I think it is even worse when you somehow end up in what appears to be a very different country. Has the Dept of Mysteries sent out a memo I have not read in regards to all of this? Why do I have a letter with a room number?

The world would make a lot more sense if this was just a Department of Mysteries thing. Unfortunately, it is not.

I am so happy you're here! In the flat but it might be easier if you tell me where you are so I can find you. It is kind of confusing around here until you get used to it. Not to mention the location outside changes at will sometimes it seems.
