I think it may be in poor taste to walk out on your own promotion party. I think it is even worse when you somehow end up in what appears to be a very different country. Has the Dept of Mysteries sent out a memo I have not read in regards to all of this? Why do I have a letter with a room number?

I'm afraid we've been somehow brought into another world with no real means of returning. The room number is where you can stay in the meantime.

Well, yeah. I was at that promotion party last year. I took time off to come home for a quick visit. So I'd say I know you, and you're actually from somewhere in my time slot, and you're older than I am, and I might cry. I went from second youngest to oldest cousin in a blink, and it's been months, and now I'm not the oldest anymore, and I'm really sorry for any pressure you might have felt by actually being the oldest, because I've never worried about people so hard in my life (which is only sort of but not really true, but you probably get it).

Sorry. Long days.

Time and space mean little to nothing in how people are pulled here. People call this a pocket dimension, and it has nothing to do with our magic. We're in two places at once, and you didn't actually disappear from home. I would know since I came in from 2030, and I'm 22.
