Okay wait. Did I die? Is this like a 'welcome to the next place' type thing?

Why are there ostriches? Who thought of that? Is there a Morose Entity to counteract the Jubilant one?

I'm in a coma, aren't I? Some really elaborate coma.

How can you be sure? Some death is very sudden and without warning.

Happy people unnerve me.

Have you stopped to consider the possibility that you're not in a coma but actually part of someone else's coma, dream, or hallucination? This entity, perhaps, building an elaborate world and bringing in new people at random intervals. Perhaps it is creating everything within this place but also everything everyone here remembers, making for one very interesting story it tells itself as it falls asleep or otherwise copes with whatever it is it needs to cope with.

I'd never seen an ostrich before I got here but someone told me that if you make them mad they will kick you really hard. Apparently they're not as docile as they look.
