I've been thinking I should work on my demo reel. Part of me wonders if there's really any purpose in doing that while we're here, and part of me is like... you never know! Weirder things have happened! There were just leprechauns here!

So uh. If anyone has experience holding a camera I may need your talents. I'll be writing into your contract that I get to punch you in the face if you break my camera. I also need a duet partner. Preferably in a high baritone/tenor range. And I need someone who'll let me cover them in special effects makeup.

I have a day off tomorrow and it may be the last Friday I have off for the foreseeable future. So I was thinking we should do something and get to know each other better? One of the girls I work with was telling me about this thrift store she found and it's sandwiched magically between a little indie coffee place and a record shop so I was thinking we could hit all three if you're down?

Fun! You have a classic scream queen look, so I think a more subtle and natural sort of thing for you would be good. We can also do a full face thing if you want to, but I want to enhance rather than cover up first.

I like to make sure people are mostly comfortable. Some of the makeup can be not the comfiest to wear for long periods of time - not that you will be. Just long enough to film the process and take a few still photos and then you can wash it off or... frighten random people with it?

Usually I just get the cheesy or offensive lines from guys who think they're entitled to get in my pants or under my dress, right before I jack them of their stuff. Not that kind of genuine compliment.

I've got to agree. Though I've had a pretty even mix among the genders and general assholishness, I'd still rather be locked in a room with another girl any day.

Well yeah, just about anyone can be an asshole. But guys are generally more idiotic. I mean, aside from the vapid girls that let guys and their attractiveness dictate everything they do.

We had a few of those at my school - both the idiot guys and the girls who let guys and popularity dictate their entire existence. I guess I get it, partially, because we're all still figuring out who we are and highschool is a nightmare hellscape, but that doesn't make it any better.

My mom's been in cancer treatment off and on since I was born so, it's not the same, but... I can kind of empathize. She's been in a hospital in Boston for the last two years. She was in Baton Rouge before that.
