I've been thinking I should work on my demo reel. Part of me wonders if there's really any purpose in doing that while we're here, and part of me is like... you never know! Weirder things have happened! There were just leprechauns here!

So uh. If anyone has experience holding a camera I may need your talents. I'll be writing into your contract that I get to punch you in the face if you break my camera. I also need a duet partner. Preferably in a high baritone/tenor range. And I need someone who'll let me cover them in special effects makeup.

I have a day off tomorrow and it may be the last Friday I have off for the foreseeable future. So I was thinking we should do something and get to know each other better? One of the girls I work with was telling me about this thrift store she found and it's sandwiched magically between a little indie coffee place and a record shop so I was thinking we could hit all three if you're down?

True. I was comfortable at the bottom of the social food chain. Now I'm middling and it's weird. I don't know if I like it.

UH. WELL. Y'KNOW. Cause it's a guy. And I don't know how to work those. Having one guy make cow-eyes at you for ten years and another corner you in a locker room after lacrosse does not exactly worldly experience make. It was decent advice, though, I think it might work. At the very least it can't make things any worse than my own stupid mouth has made them.

Middling out doesn't feel so bad honestly. At least I know I'm not with a bunch of Nina's again.

I mean, I'm not sure that you'd need to change it up that much. I have tons of experience and that's all for shit. But if it sounded like it was worth a shot, it would be good to try. We can always hide the body if he's a dick.

If it helps, I like lace. And black. I'm not totally hopeless, I own a whole set from Agent Provocateur. But. It's at home. And I'm used to doing my shopping online where I don't have to look at anyone else.

Don't you have to have boobs first? Though, valid point, because I've had a few pairs that make my torso look weirdly boxy. With my ass that shouldn't be a problem. And yet, somehow... I haven't quite figured out how to balance my hips and my shoulders yet.

You have boobs, you have cute little perky boobs. Which is actually really good because just about everything will fit. The cut of the top and bottom tend to work, it doesn't all need to be straight lines and triangles.

You should have been around for the screaming match we had when I cut my hair the first time. My mom had to get in the middle of it. I still think about it every time I go to get my fade touched up. I think about it and smile.

But I'm good with adventurous. Or I can be. Just don't be weird when you see me in my underwear. There are reasons I never wore a bathing suit when we were on the island, alright?

I think it probably does come from a place of caring, too. My mom was always chill with whatever I wanted to do. But dad had this thing about me acting out and how it put into question his authority as a pastor or some bullshit like that. I don't know. I learned to tune him out.

Nah, hip. It's about a fist-sized rose and switchblade. Super cliche.

It's probably another of those 'how will you get a job' things, because they still expect standards to be the exact same as when they were our age. The pastor thing probably adds another layer.
